Not quite the discount levels as you see posted on various bimmer/audi forums. But I'll take something better than nothing

Not saying that Lexus negotiate, but I think going to a dealership in Richmond was a wrong move.... seriously, when I was doing car shopping, I went around the automall since all the dealers were close to each other, but none of them cept Ford and Chevy... were willing to give too much of a discount... everyone had the "shit son, if you want this, this is what it costs".... went to the same make dealer in Langley and Surrey, even before we sat down, we were already offered lower than what was the "BEST" price from the Richmond Dealership...

I think the dealerships at Richmond are just spoiled with people coming in... pay full msrp + all the mumbo jumbo "warranty/service/anti rust etc etc etc) shit....

Fuck them... but yes, will still go there for test drives... because that is close to where I live... I know i am a bad person

This is something I have always wanted to believe, but I am simply unsure how true this is.

Case in point - Mercedes had a C300 in manual I was interested in, and it had been sitting in their inventory for quite some time. The mileage was low and it was dealer maintained, however, the clutch left something to be desired as it was evident the previous owner didn't know how to drive manual. You start to wonder who the hell buys a manual transmission Mercedes, right? Any how, I had a similar experience with Audi on an S4 and they too, laughed me out the door, but come Monday morning, they accepted my offer, but I had already bought another car the same day and it was auctioned off a few weeks later.

Long story short: Mercedes didn't want to replace the clutch and didn't want to budge on price and laughed me out the door. And it wasn't like I lowballed them or played the angry guy card on them either. In fact, I was even prepared to buy with cash to sweeten the deal. Several weeks later, it was auctioned off.

it's also in some cultures to try and negotiate when possible...a car purchase is definitely one of those times. If paying MSRP, maybe throw in some swags. some options. or a better warranty.

maybe Vancouver dealers are getting comfortable with people who show-up, not wanting a test drive but ready to sit-down for the transaction, no questions asked.

good luck OP, post a pic when you take delivery of it.

More importantly, Did you knock off 6%~12% off MSRP from dealer?

BMW is probably the easiest German brand to negotiate due to very aggressive competition between lower mainland dealerships.

Wow, not sure what made you post that, but I definitely did not lease. BMW standard lease rate is 2.9% for the 4 series. Why would you sign at 5.9%? Unless your credit rating is so terrible that it would not make sense to be looking at bmw's in the first place.

I was able to negotiate at 7% off msrp in addition to the July $1000 delivery credit, totaling -$5750 off.

oh yea, forgot BMW releases next year cars early so the car been out for 5months.

Lease rate is published monthly by the car manufacturer or related finance company... not your credit limit. They just approve you or deny you. Also, I only do 0.9%
