There was a fire at Annacis island, you might be smelling that. I smell it here in Surrey

dapperfied 08-07-2017 07:44 PM

Ah, that's probably it.

Talk about lobster in the summer. When I lived in Langley one of my neighbours had a hot tub. One of the women got out and I sear, she looked like a fricken lobster - folds/creases and all. I was like so traumatized. This woman made Integra Girl look like Marilyn Monroe.

Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit.............. why did I have to be unblessed with photographic memory.......... now I can't go to sleep for the next five days in anticipation of nightmares. I need to stare at a solar flare for the next ten minutes to..... oh, hot chick in short, shiny, tight blue dress on Operation Rev Nose NYE. Whew.......... it's all good now.

What's this thread about again?

I don't know about you guys, but I've been playing volleyball outdoors 2-3 times weekly. A very large majority of us have not been affected by the smokey air at all. I have noticed a bit of wheeziness upon waking up but other than that, it's been fine.

Jmac 08-10-2017 03:26 PM

I have asthma which is mostly under control, but I've pretty much avoided outdoor activities the past couple of weeks to keep it that way. Plus it's too damn hot for ball hockey, anyways.

My son has been practicing football in full gear and he hasn't noticed to many issues because of the smoke.

I have a 2 week old infant.

My windows have been closed since she's born

There's only one room in my place with AC.

Fuck this weather hard.

SpeedStars 08-11-2017 12:03 PM

I feel like after the smoke kicked in my eyes have been feeling super dry and it's getting a little bit red :fuuuuu:

blkgsr 08-11-2017 12:39 PM

yup same

pastarocket 08-11-2017 12:44 PM

Hopefully, the weather forecast of rain this Sunday means cleaner air for our lungs.

I can't believe that I'm hoping for rain now. :fuckthatshit:

Oh, but we're whining now............

you know Vancouverites are nothing but a bunch of whiners, Gulolol.

It is getting marginally better. You can see shadows more clearly now 'cause the sun's wAnderful rays are getting through.

On a side note, some places have very little smoke, whereas other places have a shiload of smoke. Time to consult our resident meteorologist.

"Would you like some cheese with that, sir?"

fsy82 08-13-2017 08:32 AM

and the rain came..air feels so nice out right now..so fresh

N.V.M. 08-13-2017 09:11 AM

i hear cars skidding all over Vancouver right now.

Bouncing Bettys 08-13-2017 09:19 AM

One negative about the first rain after long periods of dry weather is it's interaction with all the oil, coolant, washer fluid, etc which has built up on the roads. It looks like a soapy substance and it is really slick.

N.V.M. 08-13-2017 09:20 AM

thats what i implied. good morning.

fliptuner 08-13-2017 09:45 AM

Wish it rained harder

fliptuner 08-13-2017 05:33 PM

Perfect weather today. A bit of rain, Sun came out, nice cool breeze. What more could you ask for?

MG1 08-13-2017 09:08 PM

Sharknado...........

MG1 08-15-2017 09:57 AM

Now that summer is no longer a bummer and eveything is fine,
We have no reason to whine.

I would like some breeze with that..............

Like that Glow,
All I want to do is troll.

N.V.M. 08-16-2017 04:49 AM

this is bullshit. i've got dew on my windshield every morning now.
