Lol well you woulda found him on waivers the next day just like 99% of the trades I offered. The only reason I was asking for a second player was because I had too. Like I said, most of the offers I made were a 2 for 1.

It's a tough one to commit to a trade, because our rosters are relatively small and there are so many factors to take into account.

We should be throwing more trade offers out there. The worst that can happen is someone says no.

I cannot fu king believe that Markstrom got the shuttie, while vezina winning Holtby gave up 5 to the terrible fu king Red Wings. I'm just in awe of my incompetence when it comes to making those final detail changes.

Instead of being up 7-4, which is what I would have had if I started Markstrom, I'm at 6-5 after an amazing jqc comeback. It's almost like his roster is actually playing for him. Like he has some sort of hotline to the players union or something.

Inspired by the Cavs at the trade deadline lol. Hypa was kicking my ass midweek so I was on full tilt.

Seeing Markstrom with the shutout yesterday brought tears to my eyes lol. :fullofwin: There's no way you ever start Markstrom over Holtby or Murray though.
I'm definitely lucky it ended at 6-5.
McDavid had me off to a great start with 4G 1A on Monday, but Vasilevskiy and Bobrovsky also both shit the bed that day too. Those two Russians are my twin aces, but it looks like I might not be able to rely on them going into the playoffs.

Thanks jqc. I don't let myself get too excited about being ahead early in the week. The real hockey happens on the weekend which is exactly what you and I saw last week. Good battle, for sure. I'm happy to see that man for man, I can beat you. But your roster is strong. Especially on the goaltending side.


This week is going to be a good one.
Poor ghost is rife with injury and will have a hard time with jqc's roster. While I'm against aznviper. His tending is strong, although he's a little Blackhawk heavy on the roster. Gifs and espresso will be good, while on the bottom we have Tim Budong going up against our favorite mover and shaker, cammertime.

So, who wants to help ghost out with a rental player or two this week?

Seriously Markstrom?!

He shits the bed against a terrible team, then goes beast mode for a shutout against a contender. Then last night he shits the bed again, against a nobody team.

Since Jan 9th, and prior to the Valentine's day massacre he saw, Markstrom has started in 12 games and gone 6 and 6 with a reasonable GAA and SV%.

Problem is that Dougie is on a team that's going nowhere. Come March the dog teams are going to fizzle out while the contenders are going to flourish. I found that out last season when I dropped out of the playoff running in the last two weeks.

Unfortunately I had to pick up Raanta this morning to cover for Murray. He took a puck to the head in practice the other day and has a concussion. Could be a week, could be a month, you never know with head injuries.
