| Wrong information on speeding ticket?
So long story short, I was caught speeding, I have no problem paying the ticket as I was caught red handed. But upon reviewing my ticket I noticed that the officer wrote down my address wrong (ie, Street vs Drive) and also the city (Vancouver vs Coquitlam). I'm curious what affect this might have in court if any? Not trying to dispute the allegation because there was a radar reading but how would this work as a legal document in court?

Incorrect information in the grey/shaded area of tickets is not disputable (ie. you can't dispute because it's wrong).
I do not know if the information you have listed above is in that area of the ticket or not though. Pretty sure address is in that shaded area though. Just not sure about city infraction occurred.

None of it matters. He could list the colour of you car wrong, the year, the make, the model. It's all irrelevant. You were speeding and caught, just pay the cunting ticket.

Just dispute it if you want to. what do you have to lose? I don't get why you need to come here and ask, there are no lawyers here

It's a topic of discussion in this forum hence, "questions & info about the MVA". Also there is no point to disputing the allegation so I'll be paying the ticket.

You can try to call in to double check if the ticket will still stand or still considered valid.
A friend of mine, had his ticket dropped because the vehicle and plate was all wrong. The ticket was for cutting the gore point as it too place during rush hour traffic. Since it was slow moving and multiple cars were doing it, those cars including himself were pulled over as officers were up ahead spotting the violators.
My friend did not dispute the ticket and was questioning the information written because the wrong information on the ticket was a description for another vehicle which was also pulled for the same infraction. Finding out the contact information of the other person who was pulled over, the person verified that my friend's vehicle/plate information was on their ticket.
Both of them decided to call in about their tickets because of it and while they did admit to the ticket of the infraction, the tickets ended up being dropped because of the incorrect information.

If the public continues to dispute valid charges, they are going to lose their right to dispute charges at all. Have fun with that.
