BMW N55 bench flashing

Hi,

I have a post 2012 N55 powered BMW and I am wondering if there are any local tuners that are willing and capable to work with MHD to unlock my car's ECU for flashing via the OBD port. More details from MHD:

MHD Flasher late e-series open beta announcement.
After extensive closed beta testing - we are now ready for the open beta. Just update your MHD Flasher N55 App to the latest 1.20 version.
Since the procedure on late e-series cars (built after 03/2012) is a little bit different, we would like to describe the steps needed:

1. OBD Unlock via a one time bench flash. This can be done only by professional partners which have access to special tuner tools. Ask your local tuner and we can provide them all the information they need in order to get your ECU unlocked. You can also send your ECU to our partners - if you are able to uninstall it yourself.

2. Install MHD like on early e-series N55 and N54 models. Just be careful with the "flash back to stock" operation. If you use this function than your ECU unlock is deleted and MHD can only be installed after the ECU is unlocked again. If you want stock power than use the "Stage 0" map.
Send us a PM if you have questions!

I have already tried CGmotorsports but they have not responded to my email inquiring the above...

thanks,

Hey,

Did you ever find a local shop that can do this?

Guide can be found here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...JLn3XK-s4/edit
https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1264155

The tools cost about $100, I'm just debating whether to do it myself or not.

Thanks

No unfortunately. Hopefully MHD will support late e series without benchflashing.

I've been following MHD for a while. The exploit that was found in the F series doesn't work on the late E series. MHD said they contacted a company to help with more research but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I just purchased the tool to do the work myself. It doesn't look too bad.
