Fido jacking up $40/40gb plan to $45

anyone affected?
I called they gave me a $5 credit for 6 months. I heard others got 9 months though

^Precisely. Month-to-month plans are subject to change whenever they want.

I'm more curious about 2 things:

1. Will Virgin inevitably follow suit?
2. How upset are all of those people who waited hours in line on that Sunday waiting to get in on this deal lol

I posted earlier in Fido Retention Thread.

I online chatted with FIDO.
They gave me $5 credits for 9 months after begging them for 30 minutes.

I am getting the f--k out if I see any Public Mobile or Kodoo deal

I was on that $40 4gb plan myself and my buddy who works for a phone kiosk told me of the price increase. He said company can do it pretty much at anytime since it is just a promo and not a contract...

Plus side he checked if I had any offer which I did...which was a $55 6gb unlimited Canada wide and a thing called bites or something which you get unlimited data 5 times a month for 1 hour which is pretty sick. Another plus is that I get 10%off since my wife added me to fido.

fuck Rogers (not sure if their call centre also deals with Fido's customers)

sure pricing is subject to change but it would be nice to be notified ...i don't like surprises when I get the bill. when you call in they'll give your old rate as a discount for 12 months...then you have to call in again when that expires to see if you can be grandfathered. Dropped them after putting up with them for ~15 years...now with Koodo

teleco's also don't care about loyalty...capturing new user base is far more important
