I've also moved on and my go to is Banh Mi Saigon now as well especially since I moved to the area it's a real no brainer now. |

I went to it when I saw it was open and it isn't even comparable to the rest around the area. |

I checked it out a while back, when it was fairly new. And agreed...one of the worst. |
The banh mi dac biet at Bean Banh Mi is super mediocre.. Best thing about it were the pickled veg(daikon and carrot). They need to work on their bread, pate and butter. Can't speak for their other fillings. Banh mi Saigon still best. |
LOL @ "Super mediocre." Based on your description, it sounds more underwhelming than anything. |

RIP Tung Hing Bakery. Forever missed. |

Bean is a lighter bread but a bit soggy. I saw a huge basket and trays of bread sitting around. Idk if it's stale, cooking time or amount of steam during cooking but I'd put their bread a level below Ba Le. Ba Le traditional Vietnamese style baguette. Light, airy, crispy and messy. Tung Hing more French style. Narrow. |
BA LE changed the quality i think, tasted a lot better, maybe because they hired young guns to run the shop. banh mi saigon bread is very crunchy with a lot of blood coming out of my gums but I think that is due to us being so use to the tung hing buns. banh mi saigon did charge me extra for PATE (BA LE does that as well) which sucks dick. |

Banh mi saigon - first time trying today. On point! 10/10. Can't believe I drive past it all the time lol |
Anyone hear if they reopened a new location? |
