Help me choose my next DD

I ordered a bunch of suspension parts for my '15 Mustang GT and I don't I want it ruined by salt lol.

So I am thinking of getting a DD just for winter use only. I want to import something from Japan and I would be putting blizzaks on it.

It is between these three and these are the exact cars:

2002 Nissan Silvia Spec R

2002 Subaru WRX STi

1999 Honda Civic Type R

Why not? I drove RWD for years with no issues. I drove my 430RWHP Mustang GT in a snow storm and in snow regularly on pirelli sottozeros with no issue.

I am only interested in 1 of those 3 cars.

So you’d rather ruin an older car than a newer car with superior rust protection that you can thustly replace easily if need be? I side with badhobz

Edit; since you just said you have no problem winter driving your 430whp mustang, why not do it again? If you had literally zero problems

I just want another car to drive in the winter and keep my Mustang looking brand new. I am also installing a lot of aftermarket modifications on it too that make it less ideal for the winter.

I also want another car because I can. Whatever car it ends up being would be garaged and washed very frequently.

SUBIE!

^Great for this coming up winter. Although, I do admire the aesthetic on the Silvia

By the time you import something winter will almost be over...

vitaminG 11-10-2017 08:30 PM

Is this thread a bad troll? You literally would be halfway through the winter before your car even got here, let alone wtf is the point of a RWD turbo low car like a Silvia...

So it seems you’re okay with RHD. If you just want the experience of importing something from Japan, get something that was never offered in LHD to make it a bit more worth it. No Subaru’s or whatever

twitchyzero 11-10-2017 09:26 PM

lowered RWD RHD on our unplowed roads SeemsGood

still 2 years too young for a Foz STi

Here you go ... can get these tomorrow! Pretty close if not exactly what you listed.

2002 Honda Integra | Vancouver Velocity Cars

2002 Nissan SILVIA S15 Spec-S | Vancouver Velocity Cars

2003 Subaru Impreza WRX STi | Vancouver Velocity Cars

When I did used to do the winter beater thing, I would just buy a $5k Landrover. Use it during the winter, sell it in the spring for pretty much what I bought it for.

twitchyzero 11-10-2017 10:59 PM

RHD Integra with Acura RSX-S badges in Canada
we need to go deeper

westopher 11-11-2017 11:18 AM

You're doing it backwards.

I found your daily.

GabAlmighty 11-11-2017 01:13 PM

This thread is dumb.

ssjGoku69 11-11-2017 01:48 PM

This thread would actually be better with a Timpo picture invasion

belka 11-11-2017 06:41 PM

It's a fucking mustang not a show car. Put some god damn snow tires on it and it'll be fine. GVR winters aren't exactly harsh. Buddy drove a 15 mustang through a northern Alberta winter without killing himself, you'll be fine.

Floor it everywhere.

underscore 11-11-2017 09:51 PM

Of those three, only the Civic would really be a decent daily.
