Do we need to explain capitalism to you? Or do you want us to just say “it’s all illegal dirt offshore money”

Ill feed the trolls a little.

In all seriousness. If you ask anyone who is super wealthy. I can tell you they all have one thing in common. Its that they have multiple income sources. Its all about spreading out your eggs. I mean it definitely helps to have the eggs(capital) to spread out to begin with lol..

The REAL rich entrepreneurs don't go into one thing. They go into EVERYTHING. All about taking the right opportunities

The have a qoute "Rich keep getting richer" because once you have money. Its a lot easier to make more money. It opens you to so much many opportunities

Read in a book once that a 9 to 5 collecting a salary you will always be making 1:1

An hour for 1 dollar. That dollar can be $10 / hour at a McJob or $300 / hour.
At the end of the day both are still broke. The dude making $300 an hour is just broke on another level.

They be living in a nicer house and drive a Mercedes vs the $10 / hour riding the bus.

To gain wealth you need to make your income 1:X
The X will always pump in money even when you're sleeping.

At the end of the day everybody in the world only had 24 hours in a day.

Invest where you can, save what you can, and work hard.

trololol..

Different set of mindset than you,lot can build they're career selling a ton of they're life studying at all costs, while the rest are fucking around in clubs being the 30 grand millionaires every weekend..

and investment....once you gain wealth,it's almost gambling doing stock markets or believing something is gonna go large...once you do hit something big,it's almost like nothing is impossible, just don't get you're emotions involved too much if something slightly goes wrong..like i said its almost gambling if you don't know anything before hand....know your shit inside & out be4 playing stocks.

and anything like the housing market if you bought in 20 years ago its a fucking gravy train Renting to others....now just imagine someone owning 10 or more properties having that income roll in every month with your ass winning on the stock market

Boom,Now you can call every exotic car,SUV a unreliable piece of shit after trying them all cause you remember your honda lasting years without a repair compared to something costing 100x more.

I've seen a lot of people mix up "they're" with "their", but I have never seen someone mix up "their" with "they're"... good job.

Sometimes I wonder what drives people to want to be so rich. I mean sure, of course having more money is always great. Then you can buy more things. I know your $300/hr is just an example, but if someone was making that much and still felt broke, I feel something else is broken in their life and money isn't going to solve it.

---

I don't make a lot, yet I'm also not poor. I have a stable "9-5", my work is ok, a few of my co-workers are my current closest buddies that I talk to on a daily basis (in and out of work), I make enough to fund my projects and all the hobbies and sports I want to do... Sure, if I had even more money, I could be working on more expensive versions of my hobby. Instead of modding my 30k car, I can be modding my 100k car. Instead of mid tier hockey gear, I could go balls out top of the line, even when I'm just playing rec level. But on the grand scheme of things, I feel pretty content with my work/money/spending ratio, while still saving up and paying off mortgage comfortably.

So sometimes I wonder what's the drive of people who want to hustle so hard to make big money? Like I can understand moving up the ladder, new position at the firm, changing to a better career, etc. But I'm talking about trying to become a multi-millionaire, rich AF mansion owner, museum car collection with a yacht in the back.

Of course I wouldn't mind having all of that, but the amount of hard work to get there doesn't seem worth it to me, and I'm not all that bothered by not having it... Maybe my ambitions are too short sighted?

Same reason why some want to jump higher run faster and throw an object farther.

Some people just want money for themselves others want money for generations.

What I'm getting at is at the end of the day everybody has the same expenses. Food, roof over head, daily essentials, transportation costs etc.

Whether you make $300 / hour or $10 / hour you still have to pay what you need to pay to survive. It's just that the the dude making $300/hour is living better and with status.

______

Also, money not be the sole motivation of why people want to "be rich". Wealthy people have a different mindset, they give more to charity than you and I make in a year.

Some of them want to genuinely help people. Without the owner of companies who spent their blood, sweat, tears and money to risk a business to employ us and drive taxes to the government you and I wouldn't have a job.

We get jealous when we see somebody with a nice car or nice house, but we'll never know what they went through to attain it.

Everybody goes through hardship, some people just handle it better than others. Learn from mistakes, instead of rolling over and justifying self pity.

Personally my drive for money is so I can give back and take care of my parents, future wife so she won't have to work and put on makeup for a boss, then come home and wear sweats in front of me. And money leftover for my kids and grandkids to go through college or whatever they aspire to attain.

was nodding through everything you wrote until you mentioned wife don't have to work and put on makeup for boss. Women should have their worth as well by working, not just staying inside houses babysitting, cleaning, or making food. Plus benefit is dual income no matter how much the men are making.

I think what hchang means is that he can make enough that his wife can choose whether or not she wants to work. Having that financial freedom to be able to choose if I want to work or if I want to take care of the house and the kids

Instead of having to work 9-5, pick up kids from daycare, grocery shop, go home make dinner, sleep and around and around we go

I agree with what hchang and gorilla say. If it wasn't for my own family, sure I'd be happy with a stable 9-5 job that pays enough to cover expenses and some fun. But ever since starting a family, I'm more driven to do better and move up/make more money so that I can provide for them. It makes me realize what my parents did for me and surely I will pay them back for it also.

All in all, it's a mentality that might not be for everyone. But if I could go back in time and change the mentality/drive to what I have now, I would do so in a heartbeat.

In response to OP post, I think some people just have so much money they likely don't even know where to spend it anymore, so the home is literally full of expensive things. That or their interests/hobbies are in those areas. If I really liked something, I have no issues spending money on it.

Where they get the money from? When one is already loaded, it's easier to drop money on investments and make even more money. E.g. Buy stocks, properties etc. If I were to invest in stocks and I have $10K versus someone with $10 million..
