proposition 65 so I bought a fireplace and it arrived at my doorstep. looked around the box and found a red sticker saying "prop 65. I have never seen this before, is this something to be concern about? should i return it? http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j5...g?t=1517634902 |
according to the state of california litterally everything contains chemicals known to cause cancer. It doesnt mean its going to off-gas carcinogenic gases, it just used some chemicals/materials in the processing and creation of the product. Pretty sure the TV i just sold had a sticker from cali similar.. |
That sticker can apply to California as a state... |
lol don't worry about it even mcdonalds and disneyland have those warnings everywhere. |
Absolutely ignore it. Use of the air we breathe is considered carsinogenic in California |
They have that sign at Disneyland for pregnant women lol. Underneath it said trace amounts of lead in the paint?? |
Condoms sold in California probably have that warning on them. I honestly don't think there is anything sold in the US without that warning on it. It has become a big joke. |

"sorry baby, i'm gonna have to bareback you...condoms have a warning not to use 'em..." :troll:  :lawl: |
Lol thanks guys! It struck me kinda odd why companies are allowed to sell something knowing that it WILL cause cancer. Although I know pretty much everything we use or do can cause cancer but the warning label sticks out so much that it got my attention. |
