States deserved to win imo.

Canada was outplayed the whole third and most of OT, slow tired hockey. Backcheckinf was brutal and the last half of OT no one was even moving their feet.

Not even upset, better team won tonight. Canada looked old and slow in OT, must get younger and faster. Stop putting those 3 or 4 time Olympians back on the team just because they won in the past. Full rebuild, come back and win it in Beijing.

Tough loss but the entire OT we were chasing I swear team USA was gonna put one in.

Not taking away anything from the states. They played a better faster pace game than Canada but for a shoot out to decide who wins is pointless. IOC should look into something if not 5 on 5 make it 4 on 4 or 3 on 3 still better than a shootout.

I obviously don’t watch women’s hockey all that often but it felt like the quality of game has fallen off even since Sochi

I saw a lack of teamwork contributing to that terrible OT by Canada. Lots of end to end skating, shooting from the outside and back the other way. The US's conditioning (or longer bench) was apparent in OT which led to more chances.

USA was in control for majority of the game 1st 3rd and Overtime. #17 on the U.S. was either really fast or Canada was slow/gassed at the end regulation and OT.
