I'm going to see it as 488 Pasta EleGiggle

Badhobz 02-21-2018 07:01 PM

too much performance...... ill stick with a normal 458/488 plzthxs.

Although this is a great investment car. The 458 specialneeds went up quite a bit in value.

bcuzracecarz 02-21-2018 09:47 PM

I don't see this one going up in value like the 458 speciale, N/A v8 and all that performance goodness and noise is a last of a generation kinda car. Won't see that again unfortunately from Ferrari I don't think

This new one does look the part tho, love the design

LP700-4 02-21-2018 09:50 PM

Wonder if it'll hold with the Performante and 720s or will there be a whole bunch of pista off ferrari owners.

twitchyzero 02-21-2018 09:55 PM

the 458 design still looks fresh after almost 10 years

bigzz786786 02-22-2018 08:29 AM

In my language Pista means pistachio lol
Always loved the 458, the 458 convertible is still my favorite. Wish i could get that.

The Performante has edged out the 720s in a few track tests so my guess is the LT version of the 720s will be the true track monster. Atm I would love to see the Performante, Pista and GT2RS duke it out.

Any leak on CDN pricing? UK pricing seems to be 32k GBP on top of the 488. So... hopefully it's 60k here? :fuckthatshit:

Might finally be looking to get a Ferrari between my BTC found and good gain on my TSMC investment. Fulfilling a childhood dream of one day owning a Ferrari. Wife would probably kill me, but hey... what's good to keep on earning money if none of my dream (material-wise) can be fulfilled?

Also, any dealer around with connection to get Ferraris without attitude/hige markup? Ferrari Vancouver is a fucking gong show.... considering this is a special edition, I'd likely get lol'd by asking at FV. Most probably gonna get it through my connections down in SoCal and store it there.

The front end that's mostly air looks a bit odd, but the rest of it seems like a tweaked 458 (which is not a bad thing at all).

A car that pretty should come with a car cover. The Pista Sheet.

Lol, dude you got no chance in hell getting a factory ordered Pista from a dealer. You have to own a few Ferrari's to even get a shot for a special edition Ferrari or the dealer will get you to buy a GTC4Lusso or a used Ferrari they can't sell like and put you on the list. The "list" is basically telling you that you might get a chance for a special edition Ferrari in 2-4 years. My bro-in-law is on the list, he's owned a couple Ferraris and he was told he won't get a build slot for the Pista.

Same process with Porsche and GT cars and even Lamborghini is moving towards the same concept.

agree with harvey above. You aint gonna get anything other than a 488/California T new. Maybe the F12 but i heard thats hard to get...

Even then your slot will be probably 1-2 years away if you do order it.

You can however just buy whatever they have lying around on the showroom and their used inventory at FMOV is pretty good. I bought my Maserati through special order and i waited almost a year for it. They usually dont carry THAT many new stock and even the stock they do carry are moved quite quickly.

If you want a ferrari through the proper channels, you gotta go to FMOV. Afterwards, if you wanna keep the ferrari's value you'll end up back at FMOV paying their 1500+ oil changes (every year) and the 4500+ oil changes (every 4 years).

Oh and you better not drive it much...
Oh and you better not scratch it at all....
Oh and you better not have any sort of accidents or claims on it....
Oh and you better not use any aftermarket parts....

:okay::okay:

best bet for ferrari ownership... buy a used 458 thats out of warranty and then service it yourself. I think they are hovering around 180k now... so obtainable. Afterwards pray you'll never have to sell it and then just drive the shit out of it and enjoy. If you are however inclined to sell it later on, people will ANAL YOU RAWDOG over the fact that you're the second owner, you put miles on it, and you didnt service it at the dealership. Most likely 99% of the buyers back out of the deal.

Or do what i did.. buy a Maserati (not a stinking ghibli/levente those are garbage). Same engine, more cushy, better suited for the city.

Hehe 02-22-2018 06:02 PM

Yeah... that's what I figured.

But that's the exact thing I'm trying to avoid. I mean... I'm not loaded to afford multiple Ferraris, just a car enthusiast growing up with Ferrari posters on the wall... I just happen to finally have the mean to put such a purchase within my reach. And it would basically clear out my piggy bank for toys... but I figured if I don't do it now... it's unlikely I'd ever do it and actually enjoy it. There's no point to get a Ferrari and drive it at 50km/h.

I gave my sales a call (whom my F&F got multiple luxury/sport cars from) and ask about the possibility given my situation... he said since I referred him so much business, he's going to try and work something out...

One can dream... :D

Harvey Specter 02-22-2018 06:25 PM

I'm getting my Performante in July and I had to sign a no flipping agreement. Even as a previous owner I had a tough time getting a build slot because I believe only 10 HP's were allocated and sold locally and that number is going down for MY19. They have around 30 people on the list so gives you an idea how tough it is to get these cars. Even the Urus has a 2 year wait list.

You sound exactly like me.
My financial situation would permit only 1 exotic.
That being said, you wont go to track days with yours, just like none of my buddies who are in the same boat as me would track theirs. It just ain't worth it. Yes they are designed to go to the track, but which track would you go? mission? that piece of shit? Area 27 is a great track, but by the time you get there and do a few laps, your Ferrari would have taken a massive depreciation hit (mileage + any potential breakdowns or screw ups would lead you with a huge hole in your wallet). Now if you could afford 4-5 Ferrari's you wouldn't give a shit, but since we are in the same boat, you likely will care about this.

Here's what will happen once you get it. You'll admire it everyday you open your garage. You wont do much with it other than take it out once or twice a week for special occasions with the wife (dinners, festivals, a drive by yourself out to some buttfuck nowhere). Otherwise its just too much hassle, and too much risk. These are point A to point A cars since we dont have "fuck you money" to replace it with 4 more if we smash it. You'll look awesome driving down Robson and people will be jelly, but if that's all you wanted its not worth plopping down 200k.

I dont wanna sound preachy, but if i had a choice of doing it again, i dont think i would buy another one. Id probably buy a few condos and then rent them out. The novelty wears off quickly.

If he's only buying one Ferrari Rosso Corsa is the only logical choice.

twitchyzero 02-22-2018 08:53 PM

I thought bottom of the barrel F-cars used to go for like 40-50k usd....seems like even the 308 is still fetching at least 80k

You're better off flying to Vegas or somewhere and doing one of those exotic car lapping days at a track. You get all the fun but without the worry of being hard on a car you own or dealing with all the whiny "we'll select who gets one" bullshit from companies like Ferrari.

Hehe 02-23-2018 01:39 AM

Really don't care much about resale, I'd probably drive it to the ground.

But I'm digging the design over the regular 488. And since I'm going to splurge myself... might as well go all the way.

Oh well, if I can get it at MSRP, I'm on. Otherwise, I'd just save my money and invest in something else. Not really feeling anything else (well... can't afford anything else :fuckthatshit: )

But then people won't be jealous of you on Robson

Best reason to own supercar

Save on parking to pay for car note

:ilied:

Badhobz 02-23-2018 11:03 AM

I'm surprised that little dip coming down the ramp didn't scrape his nose. Even though he got away with out paying, any speed bumps in the lot will yield damage costing 100x the price.
