since it's been mandated to go EV by a set date anyway, can we get rid of the tax grab, i mean carbon tax? aside from more gov revenue, what's the point

They are banning NEW gas cars in 2035 which means I'm good til at least 2055. By that time I'll either have dementia or we will be under water. Both of which seem more appealing than a Tesla.
