X: NB boundary x rumble
X2: SB Boundary near the small pull off, usually motorcycle cops in the summer
X3: WB se marine dr in a small alleyway next to someone's house
X4: EB se marine drive x nanaimo, before the bend before elliot.

I'm not advocating speeding, but I can see why going faster is much easier in a luxury car versus a compact car.
Personally, when i'm in the states, I follow the posted speed limit exactly. I might go 5 miles over, but that's about it.
I drive more aggressively locally than I do when i'm in the states. I think it has to do with familiarity. When i'm in the states, I get locals who zip pass me like i;m not even moving. So I think it has to do with how familiar you are with the area. |
I find myself more likely to drive closer to the speed limit in my MR2 Turbo than in my 5.0 Genesis. They both do 0-60 in about 5 seconds but the 2.0L is so much louder. I get a better sense of speed in the Toyota because I get a lot more feedback from the car. I know what gear I'm in, I can hear approximately what RPM I'm at, I'm closer to the ground. It feels faster than the actual speed.
The Genesis is so disconnected from everything. It's almost silent in the car. Cruising at 130kph/80mph is less than 2000RPM in 8th gear. It's hard to know you're speeding unless you're constantly checking the HUD or speedo. Pretty much the only feedback I get is how fast objects approach and pass by the window.

The thing with government is that once they get a taste of new revenue, they won't stop expanding it to all over BC like Alberta.

90 down boundary near marine and foot's not even on the gas
on a flat road I avg 55...70 sometimes but that's on the faster side
residential 40
back-alleys 30...no one seems to follow school/park zones and I get tailgated like no tomorrow at 30-40
highway 1 i'm typically 98 unless poor visibility/snow..or 110-120 if i'm in a hurry

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk | Yup only for semis and larger trucks as engine breaking (or jake braking) is extremely loud.

...mind you i'm usually driving it @ 5AM en route to the airport.
One of the things I love most about Van is that everyone is always doing 20km/hr over the limit
