Lexus UX

Quote:
Just 177 inches long in total, or about 5 inches shorter than a contemporary Corolla. That'll be good for the urbanites the UX is intended to woo, who need to park in tight spots.

For wider, more open spaces, there are two powertrain choices. The 2019 Lexus UX 200 is one of the first applications of the new Dynamic Force Engine, a 2.0-liter inline-four with extreme thermal efficiency: 40 percent, Toyota claims. Read more about that engine (and the Direct Shift CVT, which the UX 200 also utilizes). The bottom line is, for the driver, the engines will be more fuel efficient and produce 168 horsepower, which represents an increase of 24 horsepower over the C-HR platform-mate, a sizable jump.
plastic fenders on a luxury crossover
this is going to be absolutely everywhere in Vancouver by 2020...it'll compliment a 350 sqft unit well

The C-HR is actually not that bad. Would be interested to see the Ux in person.

It'll probably sell like hotcakes but it'll be a total dog to drive. The CH-R does 0-60 in 11 seconds - close to the slowest car on the market and this Lexus will be heavier and have only 24 more horses in the barn.

How's it going to compete against an X1 or Q3 with that type of performance?

Performance may not be the highest priority for the Lexus demographic.

is this heavier? another link I read said the chassis will use a lot more aluminum than the ch-r

People laughed at this, now others carry on the legacy.

These new utility vehicles are styled like vacuums. Drive like them too...

It's not like the Richmond c-lai's in X1 or Q3's are punching it off the line now.

I hate non-symmetrical fender designs. Why is it so difficult to keep the fenders round?

Like I said, it'll probably sell like hotcakes but that doesn't mean it's not gonna be a dog of a car to drive.
