At most, I would burn through a litre of oil every month and that's at most CAN$9 with a bottle of conventional oil, and $5 per litre if you buy a big 5L jug. For reference, I think my 99 Corolla drank more oil and it's due to a design flaw(not intentional). RX-8 oil injection is also electronically controlled, so if I happen to drive more highway on one trip, it wouldn't burn nearly as much as if I am driving in city. If anything, I think premix is a bit more expensive. I think that would be about CAN$20ish a month. |

4.6L V8 cost me 500-550 a month... From North Van to Richmond everyday commute. |
I'm very curious why people would not opt for a more fuel efficient vehicle if they're commuting such distances. Is it because of work trucks? That can't be the only reason right? |
^ most likely because of the initial cash layout of purchasing a hybrid, electric, diesel, or any more fuel efficient vehicle vs. keeping their present car. Many have calculated and it would take you like 5+ years of amount you save on gas to just break even on the cost of changing vehicle. Best option right now may be a used half decent shape 50cc scooter (insurance and gas wise). |

$70 - $80 a month. but then again, i transit to work in the heart of downtown. monthly compass pass is $126 so I'm probably still looking at around $200 a month on transportation give or take. It won't change that much even with having a work laptop and working from home. fkin' compass pass. |
$350-400 depending on where I’m driving. That’s E85@1.66/L |

The thing is, insurance cost about $1200 or more every year, and I still need to do maintenance on the car, like oil changes, etc, so the fuel saving would have to be at least $1500 or more every year, which I highly doubt. Another thing to consider is that a lot of the gas guzzler cars are also fun, so you would default to driving it. If insurance works like it does in the US(follows the person, not the car), then I would entertain the thought of a roadster like an S2k, Miata or even an FC/FD RX-7 and a beater in case I need the 4/5 seats. |

I have a thirsty 5.7L, a thirsty 6.0L, and a really thirsty 350ci piece of cast iron. All are very good at doing burnouts, and making loud grumbly noises. although, gas prices makin' me feel like :okay: |

About a full tank and 2 Jerry cans down at Blaine usually gets me through the month. Max I'll need is a 20 dollar top up locally. Premium fuel though on the GTI so we're talking about 150cad all said an done |
I spend around $120 a month give or take. I drive to work mostly |
Mazdaspeed3: ~$75 for a 44L of 94 which lasts around 380kms, city driving exclusively. Lasts about 2 weeks since I only drive to work and pick up my kid from daycare. CRV: ~$80 for 55L of 87 which lasts around 500km, mixed city/highway driving. Lasts about 1.5 weeks since we use this as the family car and wife drives a lot farther for work. |

I'm probably doing around the same lol. Hatch owners unite! |
I've been driving Conservatively lately. Only fill up twice a month now in Blaine :fuckyea: |
2 tanks per month. 600-700km per tank. Lots of highway driving. At 1.40/liter for premium I usually pay $70-75 for a full tank. Which equates to around $150-160 per month. I live in Mississauga :troll: |
