Novice driver faked evidence, lied in court in attempt to fight $220 in fines, court rules | CBC News

Gill said one clip apparently showed his father threatening him if he didn't plead guilty in court, and the other was supposedly taken by a passenger in the car, showing his "N" sliding out of sight.
so, should I dispute? :troll:

I'd love to see this video of the "N" sliding out of sight.

What an idiot and douchebag. Wasting our tax dollars on this BS

winson604 03-31-2018 02:27 PM

I wish in cases like this where there is zero remorse that they not only make him pay the fine but also the amount of money they obviously wasted in tax dollars.

That can happen in civil suits. If you make the other party endure court and lawyer fees on an obviously stupid / one sided case, you can be for forced to pay them back.

I remember that happening to that Chinese couple who kept sueing their strata because they kept parking in visitors instead of their spot. After 5 years they were told by the court to sell, move and pay back thebstrata for legal fees

Ahh yes I remember that case, some people are just so dumb.

tiger_handheld 03-31-2018 03:06 PM

all this over $220?

is there something i'm missing? like he can't be a cop if he has a ticket on his record?

SkunkWorks 03-31-2018 03:21 PM

I'm sure this will get him noticed with the RCMP and VPD - but probably for the wrong reasons.

FerrariEnzo 03-31-2018 03:32 PM

Good luck trying to get any decent job with a conviction for a $220 ticket.. lmao

DoughBoy 03-31-2018 04:20 PM

Typical brown behaviour

It’s not the ticket. It’s the lying on a sworn affidavit, submitting false evidence, and obstruction of justice.

He got a ticket for driving without displaying his N and having 3 others in the vehicle without a supervisor. $220 in fines and 2 points. He’s since gotten himself into criminal territory trying to fight the ticket.

CharlesInCharge 03-31-2018 07:14 PM

Why be a police officer when his skills of lying and deceit would match perfectly as a politician, doctor, stock trader, or working for the news.

welfare 03-31-2018 07:17 PM

BAHAHAGAHAHAGAHA!!!
The videos. Must see

Probably because he isn't very good at it.

Right, but the initial dispute was over a $200 ticket.

to protect the sheep you gotta catch the wolf, and it takes a wolf to catch a wolf

Reeyal 04-02-2018 05:42 AM

Geez... don't forget all his legal fees up to this point. And for what? $220 in tickets. Just pay the damn things and move on, if you're clearly in the wrong.

Hakkaboy 04-02-2018 10:05 AM

or maybe he really did have his N sign up and no passengers in the car :troll:

I guess he thinks the best way to fight an obstruction of justice guilty plea is to make up fake videos LOL

Badhobz 04-02-2018 02:06 PM

Harikari immediately

hal0g0dv2 04-02-2018 02:29 PM

ha-ha dreaming of a cop, fucking idiot.

donjalapeno 04-02-2018 02:49 PM

What a douche. I hope they make him pay back the legal fees.

JDMDreams 04-02-2018 07:49 PM

Reminds me of this
