| Cool car related places you've visited.
I just got back from Vegas and I went for a drive down route 66. I always wanted to see the "mother road" and all the associated 1950's/60's memorabilia.
WORTH IT. especially the museum in kingman AZ where they have this awesome Studebaker.
Bought me self a nice route 66 sign for the garage too.     |

Toyota museum, and Toyota industry museum in Nagoya japan we’re pretty great. Industry museum was actually my favourite as I like to see how stuff works. But the other one had a pretty awesome selection of history and not to mention over a handful of Toyota 2000gt’s

The Toyota Museum (Torrence, CA)
Malibu canyons (if that counts)
Neptune's Net (not directly car related, but F&F related)

Lots of good stuff to see, like the Bat Mobile.

Went to the BMW Museum in Munich. Was an amazing experience, not only for the cars, but the cool architecture of the museum itself.

Damn, when I drove across North America, I took Highway 10 From Seattle to Chicago. Next time, when I go see the next total eclipse in 2024, I'll take the 66 to Chicago, then up to New Brunswick.
As a side note, the total eclipse that happened last year in Oregon was just stunning. I'm bitten. You guys have to witness it yourself to appreciate the sheer awesomeness of it all. Put it on your bucket list.
And yes, if El Bastardo is still in Texas, I'm going to make sure to visit him.

Monaco a week before the Grand Prix was pretty epic. First time seeing a Laferrari in person and that was like 2-3 years before they were even a thing in North America

If you're ever near Detroit the Ford Museum is worth checking out. I thought it was just the history of Ford, but it has all sorts of cars, trucks, planes, generators, and other interesting stuff in there. You could easily spend a few days looking through there.

| The Creative Workshop - Florida. Restoration shop with wooden floors, wooden beams, and a dyno hidden beneath the wooden floor. When was the last time you saw two Miuras in the same place...both driven examples. Barber Motorsports Park
We hit the track for some laps, and finished the evening off in the on-site museum. For motorcycle guys, its unreal. But on the car side, it's still damned impressive. For a Lotus fan, it's amazing. BMW Car Club of America - Heritage Collection
Currently the collection is housing an exhibit called "Heroes of Bavaria", 75 years of BMW motorsports history. I don't have photos of the overall museum experience, it's small but unique. Just photos of the cars and placards. Interestingly enough, the LeMay museum is working to get the Heroes of Bavaria exhibit next, so you may not need to go very far...
Rick Hendrick's personal collection - Held at the Hendrick's motorsports compound, along with the public museum and his Nascar team garages. Sorry, no photos. I'm not allowed to share any of the ones I took. His personal collection is, even for a guy who's not really into American cars, pretty incredible. Lane Motor Museum - Jeff Lane is into micro cars, and weird and wonderful cars. His entire collection runs and drives, and he takes stuff out often. Housed in the Basement is the Nissan America heritage collection (old race cars, prototypes, very rare cars) which if you can get inside the doors is a once-in-a-lifetime visit. Also downstairs is a complete warehouse of cars awaiting restoration. See something you like, or you've always wanted to see in the flesh? Ask Jeff if he'll fire it up, and you might just find yourself getting a ride in it. A friend and I got to drive the Peel Trident a couple of months later when we ran into Jeff at Amelia Island! The Corvette Museum - Worth stopping if you're driving by, not worth making a trip to...unless you're a diehard Corvette fan. This is the museum that lost a bunch of cars in a sinkhole collapse. One of those bucket-list visits I'm glad to have checked off, but wouldn't officially have had on my bucket list.
I haven't uploaded my photos from Duncan Imports, but it's a Revscene enthusiasts Japanese dream. Warehouse after warehouse, after warehouse of Japanese imports. Classic Japanese cars, modern Japanese cars...and then his personal collection of American and European motors. Want a Nissan Figaro? He's got 150+ of them. Want a Honda Beat? roughly 200. Skylines, Mazda rotaries I had never heard of, miles and miles of Japanese cars you guys would drool over and that I could care less about. And there, right in the middle of it all, 4 Volkswagen beetles...from three different decades, a COMBINED mileage on all four of less than 200. I'd kill for the '73 with just 18 miles on it.
I've also been to White Post Automotive Restorations, possibly the oldest and longest running restoration shop in North America. It was started by the current owner/manager's great grandfather. And four generations have run the shop. The LeMay Museum in Tacoma is worth visiting, and the rotating displays mean it's worth returning to. Amelia Island Concours - Incredible, and the race cars alone will keep me coming back. Scottsdale Auction Week - It's so much more than Barrett-Jackson. I spend about 2hours at Barrett out of the entire week. SOOOO much more than Barrett. Good Lord why do people go to Barrett-Jackson.
I'll have more, but that's the quick run down of the events or visits I've done so far this year.

Thailand. So many cool cars there. They're big into their lowered diesel pick ups, and they all have te37's haha.

Peterson Automotive Museum in LA. Went there in 2015 and it was awesome. They have a Porsche Vault Exhibit on right now so i booked myself a flight to LA. Leaving in 24hrs!

I try to see something car-related on each trip
two that really stuck out:
Daikoku futo on the Wangan-sen in Yokohama
a must if you're a JDM phaggot
took the most expensive cab ride there on a Sunday 3am before catching my long-haul flight back
even the architecture of the viaducts is neat
not my pics but this is also where they export all the Japanese vehicles to other markets  
already listed but Monaco during GP weekend if you're lucky enough  | |

Also, in the winter, if you go to cypress lookout, you might be above the clouds/fog.

Lots, and LOTS of places in Colorado you can do that with your car. Most people will think of Pikes Peak, but I've been above the clouds on Independence Pass, and a few others. Really depends on weather more than the specific mountain.
Weather patterns for driving through and above the clouds are more common on Pikes Peak though...I *think*.
