The visuals look stunning, but I'm gonna go ahead and guess that the actual movie will be awful. Maybe it was seeing Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke and Childish Gambino in there but it just looked awkward.

Regardless it'll make a boatload of money though, so I can see why they wouldn't bother wasting money on the plot.

Sounds like this movie will look good but everything else will be absolute hot garbage. Disney is expected to take a loss on this, and the only reason this movie won't bomb at the box office is because they have the Star Wars name associated with it.

It definitely has potential garbage written all over it, with all those behind the scenes stories. And yeah Emilia Clarke has been horrible in everything other than Game of Thrones. And Woody Harrelson might be too big of a name to play such a part... Will he be like Benicio del Toro of Ep8 or more like Jeff Goldblum in Thor Ragnarok? Could go either way I guess

Am I the only one that think that the Star Wars name has been WAAAY over used lately? They seem to be putting Star Wars on everything and hoping it will turn into massive dollars. Part of what made Star Wars special to me, is that it was a limited movie that made me think about my childhood. Now it's too much, and not special anymore.

Watching this for Bino and Chewie. Also thought I saw a glimpse of Paul Bettany?

I wish they made movies based solely on the sidekicks lol like Chewie, BB8 and R2D2 get their own movies. I'd pay to watch because I love the cute.

This.

Don't pay money to piss yourself off.

I will go watch the movie just because I like the series.

I enjoyed it quite a bit too. Like I said in the movie thread, the more gritty feel made it a lot more interesting to look at. Each scene had really cool different worlds and character designs without looking too cartoonish. Of course there was that too, but that's how they do it with SW now, and you just have to look past that stuff.

A series would be AMAZING

Also I wonder ....

Spoiler!

I thought it was legit. He has the swagger, decent soundtrack, not overly crazy or over-doing it. Alden Ehrenreich did a decent job. Wasn't as good as Rouge 1 but gotta compare apples to apples.

8/10

8/10 for me, a very solid movie so I don't know why people are bitchin'

Alden Ehrenreich was okay his version is too cocky and not cheeky enough to be Han Solo, that was the only bad thing for me.
