Why Sex Ed Sit Out?
The Sit Out strategy is our way to make your voice heard. When the parents of our nation unite to exercise their rights, those in power will hear…

We will not accept pornagraphic material in sex ed.
We will not stand by and let activists skew education
We will not let our tax-dollars be spent this way.
We will not let our kids be helplessly sexualized in their classrooms.

Oh boy, they must have never been on the internet...

I will say they have some valid points on their about-us page. Ultimately it comes down to appropriate communication for a lot of these items since kids WILL ask about it. You can't censor curiosity.

Maybe they are all from the movement No fap? Just saying. But when I first learn Sex Ed it was in gr 8. This lady show us guys how to put on a rubber. She use the banana as as a penis lol. Man Wasted I would much rather eat the banana than to waste it. Be to be honest back in gr8 that's when shaw start offering high speed internet and we get to download a ton of stuff including porn....... good times.

Yes. Except for something like advocating violence.

It's not a perfect solution, but your other option is to let the state dictate what your children learn. You may agree with the state now, so everything seems good, but what about when you don't?

I have a buddy who went to a Catholic school and he hated it. Told us some pretty funny stories of what they do there.

Private schools don't represent a huge population of students anyway.

There has to be set standard. You can't just have each school teaching what ever they want.

For certain things, yes.

But remember that there is a reason why private schools cost a lot more. They offer a lot more programs than public schools do.

Not true. Some offer a lot less. It all depends on the school.

You could argue the private schools with any sort of religious affiliation already do.

I recall a while ago, I had a conversation with a man in his late 30s who has a family(we were working at a driving job). He is not crazy or anything, and is actually a very friendly person who also has a passion for cars. He told me that if your boy comes home and says "I want to be a girl", you are not allowed to say no, or your kid will be taken away. That's pretty fucked IMO. He then told me that there was a boy who actually underwent a sex change because of that and he regretted it later. Not sure if that's true. There is a reason why we have parental consents for children. They are too young to make less important decisions, let alone a decision that will severely change their lives.

You can have people respect the different sexualities, but aggressively shoving it down people's throat is not okay.
For gender reassignment surgery, you have to go through a pretty lengthy process that involves hormone therapy and extensive counselling. From the moment you decide you want to get it done, it takes at least 2 years before anything major happens.

With that said, it is highly unusual for children to get something as major as this done.

Much like most life skills, school-taught sex ed should be the last resort in case the parents can't or won't make the time to explain it to their children. Thankfully my parents made the time, and let me learn for myself with books and tv/movies long before the school introduced it. Normally quiet me, was armed with questions and information, and pounced when ever the teachers produced information - it was like having read ahead in the next grade's textbooks and knowing more than the teacher. I hope to give my son the same guidance. That way, he is up to speed, and if the information disagrees with reality, he can call them out on it. If he is punished or marked poorly for this, I will commend him for standing up for what is right.

Are parents supposed to explain gender identity/orientation to their kindergarten children? That's what they'll be forced to do.

I have nothing against gay or transgender people. I may not agree with it. But what they do as witting adults is their business and right.
These children are years away from having the development to understand these concepts fully.
This is nothing short of indoctrination, IMO. And shaming the parents to enforce it.
