Best Junkyard for 1996 Mercedes Parts

Hi All,

First time posting. I just bought a 1996 Mercedes C280 which I am planning to turn into a "sleeper" performance vehicle. Anyway I plan to do as much of this as possible on the cheap so can anyone tell me which lower mainland junkyard would be the best to search out parts for my car.

Also if anyone can point me to an independent shop with a good reputation for doing performance work on older Mercedes cars that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hugh

What parts are you looking for, specifically? Drivetrain swap?

Right now the car is bone stock. I want to find a shop where I can sit down and discuss a long term plan. I have a limited budget so upgrades would be done as funds allow. Drive train swap is something I am open to but again it all depends on cost I am hoping (Yes I like to dream big LOL) eventually to get a drive train putting 450hp or more at the crank. For this year I am looking at a budget of $5000 so baby steps to get there LOL
