Winter 2018

It's so friggin hot I decided to look up some long range forecasts for winter 2018 2019

Can't seem to find any real predictions on this coming winter

Hopefully we'll get some more snow this year. Last year was a total dud and I barely used my AWD.

That's alright........... good timing. Costco has snow suits out already. They must know something's up, lol.

that link leads you to a winter forecast for 2017-2018...
don't you want 2018-2019?

My bad.

Even this link only shows mid Atlantic region. I can't seem to find anything on Pacific Northwest

MG1 07-25-2018 05:51 PM

Because nobody can predict weather out here. Ask any meteorologist and they will tell you this region is not like anywhere else. Our region is a clusterfuck of jet streams and anomalies that even the Andorians can't figure out.

twitchyzero 07-25-2018 05:54 PM

did you end up returning your winter tires at Costco? :derp:

320icar 07-25-2018 06:18 PM

I can’t wait for snow this year, and more ice racing with the RS

The Winter 2018 forecast is it'll rain, with more rain, wet snow, snow that will stay on the ground for 24 hours, back to rain, heavy rain and we'll finish off winter with...rain.

Badhobz 07-25-2018 08:07 PM

Wouldn't mind a shower or two next week to clean up the air. Everything stinks in Richmond (must be Iona waste treatment plant blowing over)

320icar 07-25-2018 08:17 PM

Don’t forget Richmond has a lot of farmland.

Badhobz 08-25-2018 08:31 PM

And just like that summer is over. I already turned the heat back on in the house and packed away most of my summer clothes

68style 08-25-2018 08:38 PM

You cray, I’m still wearing shorts and running a fan in my house

Mr.HappySilp 08-25-2018 09:06 PM

No snow please. Because 99% of people doesn't know how to drive in snow and cause major delays/accidents which will cause more delays and then public transit will not work causing more people to miss work.

ilovebacon 08-26-2018 12:16 AM

im actually excited for the Christmas warm feeling. Summer was a blast and I cant wait for winter.

Jmac 08-26-2018 12:20 AM

Vancouver normals (Source: Environment Canada, 1981-2010) for this time of the year are high of 21.7°C, low of 13.3°C, 22% chance of precipitation. You realize the anomaly has been pretty much the rest of this summer, right?

Anyways, to answer the OP, the NOAA is forecasting 70% chance of a weak El Nino this winter (above normal temperatures, above normal precipitation).

At night its only 13 degrees. Hell even riding yesterday I felt I needed an extra linning for my motorcycle jacket.

320icar 08-26-2018 09:31 AM

I can’t wait to have like 3 heavy blankets back on the bed again
