Taking over a team can be a disaster, I feel like I got a decent one though. None of my draft picks appear to have been traded away, and there's some great players to keep too. It's a shame to have to drop some of them but McKinnon and Hedman are a lock for sure.

How do you choose only 3 keepers when you have McKinnon, Seguin, Giroux, Boeser, Johansen, and Hedman to choose from?

Giroux put up 102 points last year with good +/- and a lot of PPP. Almost doubled his point total from last year, but can he do it again? His career shooting % is 11.3% and he shot 17.6% last season. Giroux has declined in goals, assists, and shooting % for 3 years in a row until he switched to wing and had last years huge season.
At 30 years old was wing just his best fit all along or did everything just go right for him last year? C/LW eligibility is good too.
Seguin is 4 years younger and hasn't scored less than 70 points in the last 4 seasons, and no less than 30+ goals outside of the 16-17 season in the previous 4 seasons. This season is a contract year for him so he should be motivated. He shoots more than Giroux, more GWG, more PIMs, more PPG.
They have both played all 82 games in the last 2 seasons, Dallas and Philly are both teams on the rise so that's a wash to me. Being a keeper league I want to choose Seguin due to his age and consistency. I would hate to drop Giroux to have him repeat last years performance though.

Cut off is September 13th for keepers. I wouldn't expect them any time before.
