I like what RXstar said except for the vacation thing. Sometimes we just get overloaded and the brain doesn’t function. Vacations are a great reset for those high load times. If this is something ongoing wel you may need to look deeper.

Bringing up diet and lifestyle is huge. I do shift work, often being up for periods of 24 hours, backed by a crappy sleep and another all nighters. For the next two days even after sleeping as much as I can, I am a huge dick. Not to mention my ability to handle life stresses goes right down the drain. I understand most people lives are pretty routine oriented but it was an example of how your body deals with things when stressed in other ways. Check your diet, your sleep and general lifestyle.

Talk it out. Councelors, friends, whoever.

Exercise

Meditation - Great way to exercise the brain.

That’s all I got.

My approach is:
1) Focus your energy on things that are within your control. Things that are out of your control, don't sweat it so much. Easier said than done, but you really need to conserve your mental energy, and sitting there always worrying about things that are out of your control isn't effective.
2) Like others have said, exercise. Do some form of activity where you have to focus 100% of your attention on. I started powerlifting, and going to the gym on my lunch breaks to break up my day. If I let my mind wander and worried about 'stuff' while lifting, I'd end up dropping 300+ pounds on my face. Whatever it is you do, put everything you have into it. I remember hearing Joe Rogan describing it on a podcast one day, people that go all out on BJJ/some form of phyiscal activity, are way more mentally strong and generally deal with shit better than those that don't.

Yes and no. Mostly targeting the "prescribe you something" part. There's enough junkies and addicts out there. Medication isn't the answer to everything.

Start with exercise. You'd be surprised...
Weightlifting is a great stress reliever. And You'll be hard pressed to find negative effects to it. Nowhere to go but up.
Dollar per pound, it is probably one of the best life choices a person can make, IMO

the natural high of jogging or gym workout is something amazing after giving it you're all...eat proper protein and you're vitamins, tons of water.

sometimes meditation also works for people, giving your self time for peace is relaxing, you could be going for simple nature walks, breathing in the fresh air, hearing the water running, green trees...or just simply doing something you love relaxes everything, this could include music too.

but i had to slowly train my mind not to have anxiety,i picked up stupid ques like holding my breathe or slower breathing what would make things worse about my problems,or stress i kept stacking up for no reason....i have a "weird" cousin with anxiety too,she somehow is stuck in her head worrying about things that will never happen or would ifs about "negative" things in life....again,alot of overthinking would screw anyone over if you keep training your brain to allow it.

try you're best to find a hobby you enjoy, something to remove you from whats keeping you in your own head too long thinking everything "Bad",also get some fresh air into your bedroom or house....lot of stale air gathers up after resting and i find fresh oxygen coming has a better feeling than dead air.
