Electronic dumb question: unmarked wire

This is a LED ceiling light, is there a way to check which wire is positive or negative? if the wires are unmarked. Any easy way? Can a multimeter check ?

What is the input rating into that? If the driver is built in (which it looks to be judging by how massive it is), there's no polarity on the incoming AC feed. I'm no electrician, so take this with a grain of salt.

It is marked! The one with writing on it is usually the hot/positive side. The other wire usually doesn't have information because it's neutral.

LED light so it is just a diode. Just use a diode check/ohm meter setting on your DVOM. That'll tell you which is positive and which is negative.
If one direction shows no current flow or "OL", that means it's the other way around.

You may also check to see if there is a stripe or "ribs" on one of the wires, this usually signifies that it is the neutral one.

I should also say that this is only my experience with north american AC power.
