Playstation Classic - 20 games, $99 USD, December 2018 I guess it was inevitable https://static.blog.playstation.com/...nd-755x425.jpg December 3rd, $99 USD ($130 CAD), 20 games "including fan-favorites such as Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms." OG controllers with no analog sticks  |
I want a dreamcast, n64, and ps2 classic instead |
3D games don't age well IMO. I'm not that interested in these, unless they focus on a lot of 2D games like Castlevania SOTN |
there's either remakes of all the big titles or I can just buy them on PSN for the PS3/Vita...at least you get analog sticks if you're nostalgic just go buy a used PSOne for like $40 |
my raspberry has more PS1 games than this lol |
|
lol. I only bought the other two nes because I never had them. I hope this doesnt take off. |
omg omg omg I wold love to play Grand Turismo 2 all over again. But this time without the help of gameshark BibleThump |
Any PS3 is already backwards compatible with every PSX game, so I guess the only benefit to this is that it's smaller and you don't need the discs? I still have my PSX, games, controllers, hell I even have a multitap for 4 player, but it hasn't been hooked up in forever because I can just toss the games in my PS3 and enjoy a wireless controller. I don't know what the going rate is for the games it comes with but I've been able to find the few titles I've wanted to get on eBay for cheap. Now I know that doesn't work for everyone, but since this will be the case for some people I don't expect the demand will be as big as it was for the tiny Nintendos. inb4 they make a PSone classic. |
My best times with the PS was doing the disc swap with burnt games.. Good times.. |

The PS2 compatibility used hardware in some fat PS3 models, and then software in some PS3 models, and was then removed. PS1 was all software and at least in the fat and slim, I don't know about the super slim as I've never had one. One interesting feature I found when putting a PS1 game into a PS3 is if you go to the Music option it'll let you listen to and copy the soundtracks off of some games. |
SWEET time to play this intro on the TV. |

I bought them too, but actually fixed them and then sold them. Most people didn't know that Microsoft had extended the warranty period though, so half the time I just had to register it in my name and then send it off. I used the money from that to buy a PS3, TV, and a bunch of games back in my uni days. |

Most smartphones these days are powerful enough to run either PSPSPP for PSP emulation or any of the available PS1 emus. I'm waiting on the full game list before pulling the trigger, even though I do have a PS3. Otherwise I'd like to learn how Raspberry Pi works so I can play some region locked Japanese games again, and the fan-translated version of JP Ace Combat 3 as the NA version was cut way down in content. |
You don't need to know much of anything about an RPi to set one up and use it. You can buy preloaded memory cards for them, or loading the most popular stuff onto one yourself is only a couple of steps. |
not sure on buying it... i just want it to have near my mini nintendo consoles. |
Unlike the Nintendo, I don't think it gonna be something I be getting/want Buying a modded PS3 and I can do home brew already, so I don't really feel the need for one Plus I would buy the Nintendo cuz of feel, booting Nintendo games on to PS3 (home brew) isn't the same feeling |
it would be nice if this classic console could pair up with dual shock 4's. |
They just dropped the game list. https://blog.us.playstation.com/2018...p-of-20-games/ Quote:
