windshield repair that uses OEM parts?

My dad's car was vandalized last night and it looks like something threw a rock at the windshield causing a huge crack.

It will need replacement, but I am wondering if there are specific shops I need to go to ensure the windshield is OEM?

The car is a Lexus and he wants to make sure the parts are OEM and not generic/aftermarket branded glass.....

I had both my Civic and BMW replaced at Boyd's in Richmond. They used OEM (but I don't think they had a choice). In addition, you can always request for OEM replacement (additional charges may apply).

I assume this will be an ICBC claim? Smaller shops will use aftermarket glass unless you have OEM replacement coverage. Speedy will install OEM glass if you request it.

what's OEM replacement coverage actually called when you're renewing ICBC?

Sorry for bumping an old thread but where did your dad end up going to? Did they installed an OEM Lexus windshield?
