not everyone know how to judge bud so i think imma write a lil post for yall lol, these are my guidelines, BUT this does not mean that i am 100% correct, use at ur own caution.

For marijuana flowers, this is what i look at
1. DENSITY, I prefer bud that is densed, if its really light and fluffy, most likely its just leafs and not the actual bud flower
2. COLOUR, i will never smoke no brown, or yellow lookin ass shit lol green is the colour u should look for
3. THC, if the bud is really good, u should be able to see the cake on it, dont mistake that for MOLD, it looks the same but have difference textures, thc will stick on ur hand and dissolve, mold wont.. gross
4. SMELL, if theres no smell, most likely its some old shit thats been sitting around, if its super fruity, most likely its sativa, indica is a lil harder to judge, however for purple stains theres a certain dank smell to it, i dont really know how to explain it lol
5. TRIM, dont buy weed that is super leafy, the leafs usually wont be covered in thc so u aint really gettin high off it lol

for SHATTER:
i dont smoke that much shatter but i noticed the lighter the color it is, the smoother and better it is.. just because its black doesnt mean its bad, but its obviously not in good quality compare to others

So yesterday still nothing on my mail order weed I bought last week so I sent them an email asking for the status.. Maybe this isn't true, but personally I've found darker, more green concentrates tend to have better flavour and more of it. I feel like the greener it is, the more terpenes it will have. All the lighter, yellower waxes I've had have had much different flavour, very un-weed like. Eg: Rock Bubba wax from Canna Clinic is a heavy indica with a very unsual "grandma's perfume" flavour. Doesn't taste like weed at all.

Made some pasta with butter that I made from both green and bud that I already vaped, put quite a lot cause I didn't know if it would hit or not since it was already vaped. It's currently the third day and I still feel like shit LOL. Lesson learned.

I find anything with that "grandmas perfume" flavor/smell is just shit that wasn't flushed properly.

That type of taste was sooo common with all the stuff I'd get from all the viet guys I grew up with lol. Just quick turn around shows that don't take the time to flush properly

Damn...you think it's residual butane left from the extraction process or similar toxic product? It's from Canna Clinic, I thought they had quality trusted concentrates.

Can't really speak to concentrates, who knows it could have been just the end product and how it turned out

The taste/essence I'm talking about is really obvious and typically lingers on your fingers/lips after you smoke that kind of weed

What are your guys thoughts on vape pens?
The convenience is huge. Easy and quick with very little smell left behind. I prefer it to flower these days, but I know very little about it.

even though vape pens are convenient, i feel like u dont get the full potential of ur concentrates/flowers from the pens.. i guess that is the tradeoff for convenience

I agree about waxpens: they're fast, easy, little smell, concealable. Just be careful as there's a lot of models that aren't worth the money (Atmos, G Pens, Dr Dabber, Puffco Pro), and people always say concentrates increase your tolerance faster.

Yes, even the best waxpens can't compete with dab rigs.

I've been rotating a 5 pack of Terra atomizers for 4 months. Each gets used for 3-7 days, then swapped and the dirty one soaked in isopropyl. None have stopped working so far.

Others quote 30-90 days of use. Highly dependent on how hard you're pushing them wattage/temperature wise.
