i havent really smoked much weed since i was about 26, but now that its legal, who knows? i might walk into a dispensary and see what they have.

white rocket 10-16-2018 03:22 PM

I'm nervous for road side checks and whatever BS device they approve to test for THC levels. The legality of it now has the police more aware of it and without a true test of measure it becomes discretionary. This is an issue since it's all on how the cop feels at that moment. Any cop can make any driver out to be intoxicated by THC if they want to and this will lead to profiling. Cotton swab testing is total BS as it is not an accurate measure of intoxication although it is widely used in the U.S. and Australia.

This is a pretty loaded topic but really my only concern at the moment. Until the legal industry sells better weed for cheaper, the black market will reign supreme.

MarkyMark 10-16-2018 04:09 PM

The whole weed testing is such a grey area right now. As it stands at my work, because it's a "safety sensitive environment" someone can smoke a joint on Saturday, come to work Monday, fuck up and get drug tested and still fail a weed test because the level in their system is higher than their threshold allows. I'll stick to good old booze thanks.

You have no clue how these criminals in the black market grow their pesticide weed. With legalization you have licensed producer growing verifiable labelled weed.

I dont mind paying more for quality and convenience...also knowing I'll be helping legit canadian companies.

hud 91gt 10-16-2018 04:18 PM

My work doesn’t allow any use at all. How do your human right feel now? Ha. This goes for a multitude of positions within the company.

Mr.Money 10-16-2018 04:23 PM

anyone who's getting tested for thc and is a smoker is fucked if their involved in anything that requites it like if you rear end someone in a auto accident and the witness says he/she smelled pot from the car....you're gonna be fucked hard.

Hondaracer 10-16-2018 04:42 PM

That would never hold up in court.

I agree with the sentiment of paying for convenience. I haven’t bought from a “dealer” in over 2 years. Helps that Cannaclinic is right around the corner

Anybody got recommendations for one websites to order some THC oil? Mine shut down in the meanwhile

DavidNguyen 10-16-2018 05:27 PM

I dont smoke but I definitely will try some.
My mom is old and her legs hurt. Is there a weed oil/pill she can take to relieve the pain?

Thanks guys

jshen 10-16-2018 05:37 PM

^^ Have your mother try cbd oil. Non psychoactive and offers pain relief. I've recently been in an accident and my surgeon recommend I try it for my nerve pain. It's help me dramatically.

yup..CBD pills or oil would help.

SkinnyPupp 10-16-2018 05:45 PM

How much is it typically for one joint or whatever they're called these days?

Hondaracer 10-16-2018 05:47 PM

Pre rolleds are like $5 but it’s all the bottom of the barrel garbage they roll up

Dispencenceires are essentially street prices plus tax, a good gram that you could get 2 OK joints out of will be like $12

Mr.Money 10-16-2018 06:15 PM

yup, haven't heard any good news about pre-rolled joints at any place around the world unless you're talking about moonrock pre-rolled joints that are dipped in hash oil and caked in keif.

i wouldn't recommend one of those on fresh lungs smoking alone.....RIPPEDD..tons of smoke and able to get 4 people pretty high from one moonrock joint.

Jmac 10-16-2018 06:24 PM

Won't change anything for me.

Yup. I feel like pot smokers kinda shot themselves in the foot here.
Now with it legalized there will be shotty test methods and they'll probably be heavily used.
Prior, most cops didn't give two squirts about people smoking.
Almost as if by legalizing, it'll actually be stricter than it was in a sense. More monitored.

Or maybe it won't. Time will tell..

coneZONE 10-16-2018 07:05 PM

Won't really change anything for me. I don't smoke anyway. I had to sign a new worksafe contract today lol.

I know a few friends who do smoke a bit and I don't really mind. They're all pretty courteous

RRxtar 10-16-2018 07:09 PM

what are the laws for weed in the workplace?

Ludepower 10-16-2018 07:17 PM

Same as alcohol. Dont show up to work drunk or high.

Seems like it’s mostly just a revised blanket statement on the alcohol terms and general impairment.

So my question is, can a private business say you can’t smoke weed somewhere but you can smoke cigs. There’s quite a few pubs that come to mind, Woody’s, Jimmy macs, etc that have an enclosed smoking area that only has entrance from inside the venue.

By the law you’re technically allowed to smoke anywhere cigs are

320icar 10-16-2018 07:54 PM

I’m not a smoker, never have been. Thankfully all my friends are courteous etc. It’s so prolific that legalizing it doesn’t effect me at all, don’t care much. I just hope in general people are polite about it. I for one hate the smell of it, always have. So let’s hope everyone’s nice about it lol

Mr.Money 10-16-2018 08:01 PM

^^^...nope,the smell travels far and each time you go the mall or movie theater you're gonna be smelling a pet skunk.

you're little round head daughter is gonna ask "Daddy, what's that funny smell"..

Hondaracer 10-16-2018 08:30 PM

This is probably the best link on BC’s guidelines I’ve come across so far
