I wouldn't even consider the newer CR-V knowing the cold start oil/gas mixing

RAV4 on the new TNGA is still focused on NA or hybrid...price still question mark

WHAT IN THE FOOK, Subaru removed the turbo option in the Foz?

surprisingly enough the 2.5XT didn't sell well. Average buyers weren't looking for the extra power

I stopped by Signature Mazda and took the GT Turbo out for a spin thanks to liukb - very nice car, the turbo is loaded with torque and is a really nice step up from the regular GT. Pricing is pretty reasonable.

Off-topic: Also took a RDX out for a spin - that thing is fantastic. Both very good cars but more than a $10K diff when similarly equipped (the RDX is a half size larger though).

According to Consumer Reports, the issue was fixed for the 2019 models and Honda will have a fix available for earlier models, though it wasn’t known if the fix would be covered under a voluntary recall.

CRV's are so fucking boring not gonna lie. I had a gen1. They need to go turbo 2L from the RDX or something to keep up.

RDX Aspec or this CX5 for me if I'm shopping for an SUV

0-60 in 6.2s - thing is quicker than a RDX and nearly as quick as a X3 or Q5.

I took a RDX out for a 3 hour test drive today and have a CX-5 Signature for an overnight test drive courtesy of Jeff (liukb) from Signature Mazda.

Both cars are terrific cars - can't see you going wrong with either. I think nearly everything in the RDX is 10-20% better than the CX-5 but it's also about 20% more money. It'll be a hard decision for my wife and I on whether the CX-5 does enough of the job or if the excitement of the RDX is worth the extra $10-12K.

Meanwhile, I can't even get a 10-minute test drive without the sales guy driving it out of the lot and riding shotgun the whole time :okay:

Gotta borrow my 5 months pregnant wife then. :)

We drove 4 cars, a VW Golf Wagon, CR-V and the aforementioned RDX and CX-5. All of them were fine with extended test drives when I asked for it - OpenRoad VW offered an overnight as did Jeff at Signature Mazda. Richmond Acura and Destination Honda were both good with an extended drive though the Acura folks were the least prepared - filled in the wrong paperwork and car had almost no gas (ended up putting in a few bucks just to make sure I'd get back to the dealer). Took 40 mins before we could leave the lot while Jeff had me out in 10 mins in a car with only 711 clicks on it.

In my case I sure looked serious as we're expecting - even brought out stroller and child seat along to see how things fit (The RDX is about a quarter size larger than the CX-5 all around.).
