I've never considered myself to be a socialist, or even have socialist tendencies. So please correct me if I am wrong. But what is so bad with Jagmeet withdrawing support for the $250 handout? He is not wrong about how some of the people most in need of that money -- ie. seniors / retirees, students, people who did not work due to disabilities -- are being left out of the freebie giveaway. And personally, I'd say the $150k net earnings ceiling is too high to receive the freebie.
He is still an idiot for not realizing this the moment the policy was presented by Turd -- Turd has quite clearly mentioned in his address that people working with an income below $150k are the ones getting the cheque. He is also an idiot bcos he got one-upped by Turd (with the $250 cheque offer) immediately after trying to take credit for the GST holiday.
The $250 cheque is clearly a vote buying attempt by Turd and the Libs. I am not blind to that. It was never meant to be an affordability helper. It'd also come at a pretty big cost to Canadian taxpayers down the line bcos we're still be the ones paying for that debt and interest in the future.
Or have I turned into a bleeding heart leftard?

They also know they will get the money back, cuz when ppl spend the $250 the gov collects the tax back on that. And how many people will spend $250 and stop, mostly likely they will spend money = taxes back to the gov

Existing for nothing but the "gotcha" moments to the government in power as opposed to productive dialogue and problem solving. It doesn't matter what the liberals did here. Trudeau could have used his own money to fly to the moon to grab a treasure chest that buzz aldrin forgot there worth 27 billion dollars and handed it out personally to every Canadian in Canada and every single political party would have said how awful he was for doing so.
