If he's out, the cons need to learn being an inflammatory dildo isn't going to cut it north of the 49th. People want the leader to act like a leader not some wiener on revscene who uses 3s for Es.

Ironic that it's people like you this extreme, aggressive rhetoric that made this such a disaster for the conservatives.

Reasonable rational voters don't want to be associated with people like you.

Hopefully this massive embarrassment will make conservatives realize that if they truly want to appeal to the mass public they have to distance their party and message away from this moving forward.

Pierre turned out to be a worse candidate than Andrew Scheer, quite the feat.

But poor PP ... will there be a leadership review?

He is gone. How fast depends on if he keeps his seat or not.

Rational people don't vote for the party that have sunk the Canadian economy.

Maybe Carney can prove me wrong in the next few years but the track record so far isn't too promising.

Despite Revscene being a sausage fest, I am a woman.

I like conservative policies but dont like pp.
I like mark carney but dont like liberal policies though he has indicated he’ll move more centrist.

I hope mark carney assembles a new cabinet and gets rid of the federal luxury tax so we can all buy nice cars.

One things for sure, PP aint coming back like R Kelly

Also its annoying that you just need to win ontario and quebec to pretty much win the election

You've made my point.

Based on the vote compass, I agree, economically I align more with conservatives.

But I am so against and turned off by PP and the positioning of the conservative party socially would not sacrifice those beliefs for what is potentially my own economic benefit.

underscore 04-28-2025 07:07 PM

Where are you guys seeing it confirmed already? The CBC app is telling me it's too close to call.

It's also still super weird that they start releasing results before polling has even closed on the west coast.

snowball 04-28-2025 07:12 PM

Yeah i hate that. The BC election was definitely too close to call yet was called too early by media.

The polls were pretty close....but the Liberal vote isn't as efficient this time around.

This a historically strong performance for the Conservatives. They gained in Ontario. But, it's not the majority that they wanted.

whitev70r 04-28-2025 07:26 PM

PP may not even win his own riding !! It's early but he is running 2nd :lawl:

Harvey Specter 04-28-2025 07:31 PM

The issue is that PP dropped the ball by not addressing Trump directly when the tariffs situation blew up. Instead, he was caught flat footed and was still yapping about the carbon tax while the rest of the country had shifted focus to Trump. Even over the past few weeks, his focus wasn’t on the economy and tariffs, and in the end, that hurt him.

If the Liberals get a minority government, we’re back where we started. However, I predict that if Carney gets a deal done with Trump on the tariffs and we somehow miraculously escape a recession, he’ll likely call another election and try to get his majority. The question will be whether PP runs again, or if Doug Ford takes the leap and tries to take over the federal Conservatives. Interesting times ahead.
