Best and most interesting election ever. Maybe cause we are getting old LOL. PP, Jagmeet both lost seat, latter quits and loses party status (what does this mean). Let's go Trump, let's see how you can deal with Carney who can outsmart your ass on math and economics. |
Ditto. Outside of the insults hurled back and forth on the forum, this was certainly an interesting election. Canadians have spoken, and the results will now dictate our future for the years ahead. |
This is the most stereotypical Canadian outcome possible, status quos here we go. A liberal majority would have been better. Another 4 years of getting nothing done and begging a coalition of an irrelevant party to prop up legislation.. yay Manic you owe me $100 cause your boy of course lost his seat after destroying his party. also really goes to show the west is still irrelevant on the federal scene, even with these margins the election was largely over by the time it hit Manitoba. Homelessness and crime will continue to reign. Pathetic showing by the conservatives and all around campaign. |
Arrghhh probably another 10 years of this lame duck liberal trash again. I blame the fucktards in east van who voted for Jenny Kwan and the other ndp idiots who basically just wasted their votes. |
What has changed when we woke up this morning? Surprisingly, as interesting as election was ... not much but lots. Standing wise, not much but NDP got shellacked: Libs gained 9 seats from 159 to 168. New leader in Carney Cons gained 25 seats from 119 to 144. PP lost his own riding. BQ lost 10 seats from 33 to 23. No change. NDP (biggest loser) lost 18 seats from 25 to 7. Jagmeet lost riding and stepped down. Green lost 1 seat from 2 to 1. Ellizabeth May kept her seat (irrelevant) PP will have to take his time out of House of Commons until byelection, kind of embarassing. All this bantering and debating in the last 100 pages or so for not a lot of change. We'll see if Carney does carry out his promise of a new centrist Liberal agenda. Let's do this again in 2 years ... :lol. |

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/jag...ults-1.7520955 Most of us (all?) like to shit on Jagmeet Singh - I found him underwhelming b/c he seemed to constantly flip flop on his policies and his rationales while also delivering a housing policy that was totally underwhelming (but better than the Conservatives by a lot). However he gets too little credit for how his deal with the Liberals resulted in national pharamcare, a dental care program and a ban on replacement workers during strikes. 20 years from now, we'll look back at the first two accomplishments as really big deals for Canadians. For left leaning folks his refusal to bring down the gov't last year also meant we didn't end up with a Conservative majority. He was no Jack Layton but he managed to get more done than any Federal NDP leader ever - could he have done better? 100000% but national pharmacare and dental care are big effing deals. Most of us are either too young or make too much money to notice the impact of those programs so we poo poo it but my in-laws will go see a dentist now. Politics is tough work so I wish him well. |
youre absolutely right Honda. I too wanted to kick down all her signs and go yell at the retards who vote for her. I told my parents that if they dare vote for her, i will refuse to come over and fix their tech shit. So they voted con, but utterly useless.... cons only got 9000 votes in that riding, while that liberal fucktard got 19,626 vs Bitch ass Kwan's 24,078. So you look to your left, and you look to your right, there are 24 thousand idiots in that district, high chance that everyday you'll run into a retard and/or are surrounded by god damn retards. Fucking half of ricemond reelected this dipshit buddy guy again. With one outstanding poll, Bains ended election night with 48.4 per cent of the vote (24,562 votes). Segal had 46.3 per cent of the vote (23,501 votes). arrrghhh infuriating. stupid politics. |
One positive I've seen today is I only have 2 people on my IG fucking retarded enough to say the election was fraudulent, so that bodes well for us compared to America. |
PP says he's staying on as Cons leader... can he fucking not? I do not want to have to vote for Liberals again. |

I'm probably one of the few people in my neighbourhood, excluding the other Chinese voters, who voted for Liberal Mark Wiens. -gonna yell at Mr. Chow for voting for that Kwan bitch, again!! As an FYI, Wiens wife is Chinese. -pretty wife haha. Wiens tried hard to get the Chinese vote for Vancouver East. He even mentioned in his campaign video ad that he is taking Mandarin lessons. His wife is his tutor?? :lawl: |
Chak Au pulling some major weight, lol. Only Con riding with Cloverdale-Langley in Lower Mainland. |
Disgusting, im going to buy my own plastic straws from aliexpress and whip it out at every restaurant |

Congrats to the Liberals.. tampons will still be available in mens bathrooms. |
It obviously went beyond PP in the failures when you’re trying to legalize Zyn’s last minute to get votes. If that was even real |
^ I actually don't think it went beyond PP, his messaging, and his style. They will do a review but I think it was all centred on the unlikeable figure PP. It wasn't their policies that people have issues with, we like affordability, safe streets, no tax on housing, etc. Except for straws. If they had a Mulroney like figure ... centrist but Conservative, we would have woken up to a different result. So I kind of want Cons to be a pesky opposition to keep these things on the Liberal agenda. |

-gonna ask my neighbour sarcastically "Hey Mr. Louie, did you even read the platforms of any of the candidates in our riding? Can you read English??" He cannot play the race card and call me a racist, because, buddy, I'm a Chinese Canadian too! :lawl: -don't be angry at me if you're ESL and I am not hahaha. If he starts swearing at me in Canto, it won't end well for him haha. Same shit happens during the municipal elections. I did not vote for Sim to be the Vancouver mayor. Hell no to Sim City!! Guess what, Chinese neighbours voted for MR. Sim "because he's one of us". |

I'm surprised they didn't get majority overnight with the early ballots |
pretty sure thats why that buddy guy liberal was reelected in richmond steveston. Lots of buddy guys in east richmond, and they wanted their own dude vs having a jew con be MP. |
I'm not going to come in here and dunk, but I said it for a while now, Pierre was a flawed a unlikable candidate. The man lost his own riding :lol Conservatives need to do some serious soul searching, pick a more moderate leader, and stop trying to adopt this American-style politics. Canadians are not as ignorant as our neighbors down south. |
