I remember when achieving 200whp was the shit, especially with Civics running T3/T4 turbo kits and S13/S14s running a Disco potato turbo. Nowadays, 200hp in stock vehicles is the norm. :okay: Edit: Apexi VFACs and all..damn. Good times. |
Don't SR20s put out about 200whp stock? |
Oh, sorry, I meant the SR20DE, with a turbo kit added after the fact. Not the stock SR20DET found in JDM cars. I remember TouringTeg brought out his S14 back in the day for a dyno day we had organized, and his dyno results were some of the best of the pack. That was one sick car. :sweetjesus: Good times. |
I still want an S14. That's when Nissan was still Nissan. I miss my dad's old Sentra se with the sr20de. |

One more for you as there is a certain Mustang lurking in the background. I think this was 04 or 05. Police escort instead of VIs! http://i.imgur.com/qf3nkkz.jpg |
Mazda 929! Such an underrated car :sweetjesus: |
always wanted a 929 |
That was my 92 Mazda 929 that I bought when I sold the red s13 coupe on the left. The new owner had it in those pics. I saw the 929 on Craigslist Vancouver and jumped on a ferry. The pictures were dark and I thought it was black. When I saw it in person (he picked me up at the ferry) I nearly left turned around but decided it was an ok color. It had been an accident and had been painted all cherry red instead of grey lower moldings. The build quality was really poor and it drove like crap. I still enjoyed it and it ran reasonably well. Both rear window regulators did not work so I got a used pair from ebay/junkyard in the USA and installed them. Good learning experience replacing them. When a rear light bulb was out the car lit up a light on the gauge cluster. Even though I changed them all the light would still not go out. I pulled the bulb from the dash lol I installed AME Shallen LX (Enkei) 19x9 +42 and 19x10 +43 with Falken ST115 225/35/19 and 245/35/19 I got a set of King Springs from Australia to lower the car. Shipping cost was a fortune. I also tinted the windows and put HID head lights and HID yellow fog lights in. A short while later a professor at my college got a 92 Lexus SC400 gifted to him and I bought it for a deal. Sold the 929 shortly after which took a long time. One nifty quirk about the 929 was the solar panel sunroof. It powered an auxiliary fan that would keep the car cool when the car was stationary. |
Wow I think that's Great68's Mustang in that photo, he had the Centreline rims iirc... he now lives on the island with you. |
No shit that's my civic wagon in front of you in the cop photo, I don't even have any printed pics of it haha |
