Instead of giving out fucking VI’s, VPD better be using every goddamn resource and manpower (sorry, women, too) available to them to catch this sick fuck.

My dad who was also present identified the driver as a person of Filipino descent when he was giving his statement to the RCMP officer. I, as the translator questioned him on why he's so sure of their nationality and made sure that the statement became darker skinned, possibly Filipino. Turns out, the driver was fucking East Indian.
If a full grown adult cannot define someone's ethnicity, why would you put that responsibility on a 6 year old? Your whole investigation would fall apart because of a questionable assumption. Besides, kids grow up differently nowadays, they don't see colour or ethnicity like we do back in the day.

would think that'd be at least as difficult as narrowing down the ethnicity, or even a ballpark idea

My 6 year old nephew doesn’t even realize he’s a different race than any other kids in his class right now, he has no concept of ethnicity... he would only say darker or lighter. He doesn’t know Chinese or Japanese or East Indian etc.

in grade school i remember 2 supervision aides in the school yard for few hundred kids,
and the school yard was large so there's definitely dead space and gaps where any stranger could've easily pulled up and abduct someone  | |

I spoke to VPD detectives last week as they were looking for dash cam footage for an earlier sex assult on Nov 27. https://mediareleases.vpd.ca/2018/11...r-sex-assault/
It took only a few minutes to get the footage to them. They emailed me a link to upload the videos to the video forensics team. So if anyone was holding out because they didn't have the time, it took almost no time at all. It's not like they need to send a cop with a USB drive to you, which they can do as well, if you're not able to work an email system.
