The Verge PC Build

I missed this video the first time it got posted. It's been Streisand' back into the limelight by DMCA requests to take down reaction videos to this. The original has been mercifully removed, as well. I don't care about reaction videos, but I wanted see the original.

In less than a minute, you know it's going to be bad when he lays out his tools:

Yeah, i saw it last year when it was uploaded. Dude is an idiot especially when they are teaching viewers how to build a computer.

I did like the editing visuals tho.

Yeah and the worst part is that he was super defensive when people called him out... Like man why not just admit you fucked up, and do another video, maybe co-hosted by another youtuber who knows what they're doing?

They are handling this in the worst possible way

What you don't use a live strong rubber band to stop the static from frying your parts?

i mean The Verge was never meant be taken seriously...and it's petty they have to go after naysayers from a copyright angle months after the fact

but, who cares? there's always more than one way to do things, even if it's unorthodox/not considered to be the best. His CPU temps might be a few degrees higher...everyones make it sound like he put magnets on hard drives, ripped cables out while benching, forced CPU in the wrong side in and bent all the pins, etc...it's not the most graceful way but it got built...like im supposed to gaf about what youtubers think anyways, the only one worthy of respect is Steve @ gamers nexus and maybe the case reviews at hardware canucks, every other IT reviewer with a channel is rather cringe

He was giving advice that, if followed, would have a pretty good chance of damaging your hardware. This isn't just a case of doing something different, it's doing something literally incorrectly, and passing it off as expert advice.

a multitool wouldn't be the first thing i grab and he was a bit manhandling the parts instead of being delicate, other than that, i thought it was a half decent/informative video for dummies

and i liked the animations lol
