Imo you gotta be outa your damn mind to spend 60k on those Focus’s. I don’t care if it’s an RS or has a freaking rocket engine. |
I see some advertised on fb for $60k but I'm not sure if they tack on fees afterwards. But $60 should get you a model 3 performance after discount......... |

God that front end is an abomination..the rest of the lines are actually pretty nice |
The lines don't look good. Especially the way the cabin looks like it's abruptly pinched down towards the rear. If it was a few inches longer maybe the proportions would look less stressed. |
Anyone who buys a Supra instead of the new Vette is a true fanboy |
I know the owner of the 120k one in Victoria. He took delivery this week and his Toyota salesman friend said it would be worth a shot to list at 120k and see what happens. He doesn't really want to sell it but who is gonna turn down a 6 figure offer if it comes. |
|
6 figure offer? what you think you got, Carrera GT? |
i think it looks good, but compared to what the FT-1 was, it's hideous. no third pedal and with bmw parts on this? fuck that, i'm staying the hell away from it. Much like the GTR and NSX, no third pedal...don't really care..new cars are lame these days |
no one is buying them in n. america they sold far more auto toyota 86 last year c7 vette manual accounted only 15% sales only mainstream trims still exclusively offered in manual is sti/type r afaik |

The FT-1 looked amazing. There's definitely similarities, but I'm not sure wtf did they do in the process between.. Now it just looks really wonky to me and I haven't seen any Supra pics from any angle where I've felt it looked good. The styling curves and lines are just all over the place like it's trying too hard to be "cool" and it looks like an incohesive mess. |

One of the most interesting tidbits was that 78% of Subaru BRZs sold had a manual. What makes that so curious is its stark contrast to its twin, the Toyota 86, where only 33% of those sold in 2018 had a manual. - From https://www.autoblog.com/2019/05/21/...smission-take/ |
says honda sold 2.6% manual time's are changingg |
I think the Supra looks way better than the Type R |
The BMW M2 (2016 and 2017) production ended and the manual transmission numbers are astounding. For 2016 Canada and USA both had 52.1% ordered in manual (47.9% DCT). 2017 has slightly lower manual orders. USA and Canada are the countries that order the most manuals by far but it is not exactly overwhelming "save the manuals" kind of numbers. https://f87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1404565 https://i.imgur.com/ZDKomOC.png |
most of the "save the manuals" people don't buy new manual cars...... especially performance cars. they are a fraction of those buyers for new |

$144,000 (price plus 20% tax) vs $76,469.25 (price plus fees/15% tax) You could buy 2 of them and all you'd have to do is wait a little. No one who would be interested in this car is making that much money where they would freely pay double. |

Could this be why they announced the new M3 will come with a manual trans? |
I am sure BMW execs witnessed the demand for a manual GT3 and likely realized it is still too soon for BMW performance cars to be offered in auto only. The regular 340i/440i will no longer be offered in manual. I feel like sentiment is changing and people are accepting that the Supra is auto only. GTR is auto only and yet resale value remains strong. This tells me there are plenty of buyers out there for auto sports cars. |
