Has anyone on these boards ordered a Supra?

I'm genuinely curious if anyone actually ordered the new Supra on these boards. If someone did, how much did it all come out to?

JDMDreams 03-07-2019 03:39 PM

More than you can afford pal, Supra:awwyeah:

smoothie. 03-07-2019 04:10 PM

probably whatever a 440i new costs

asian_XL 03-07-2019 04:45 PM

it was £55,000 in UK for the first 900 Supra 3.0L, that's like 97K before tax

The 2.0L version could be cheaper, did they say 50k USD?

A coworker has 2 friends that ordered them and he directed me to the website. They are a little under $80k CND after PDI and luxury tax. I'm curious if Toyota dealers are also tacking on hefty mark up's. Also curious if someone is getting one from here so they can post up their thoughts on the car once they take delivery.

oldsnail 03-07-2019 06:23 PM

Toyota Canada website indicates starting at 65k

prudz 03-07-2019 06:36 PM

$64,990 base price before any options
PDI $1,745 (Suggested price)
Lets assume minimum $600 in dealer fees
$67,335 subtotal for a base supra
15% luxury tax bracket
total $77,435.25

Add tire tax, A/C levy, options, possible dealer mark up over msrp and that figure will climb. I'm curious what people are able to actually buy them for and like I said, when they land if someone on these boards picks one up, their input on it.

twitchyzero 03-07-2019 07:06 PM

people are already spending $50k for a Civic
what's another 50% for a fixed roof Z4

Koflach 03-07-2019 07:25 PM

I'm not sure why anyone would buy one of these, they are hideous.

toyota86 03-07-2019 07:41 PM

If I'm spending 80k, I'm bidding on a shrink wrapped, collector grade LHD 6MT Eurospec Mk4. At least it won't depreciate.

oldsnail 03-07-2019 07:47 PM

For comparison, the ford focus RS starts at 60k. for 65k, this is a deal lol

dared3vil0 03-07-2019 07:53 PM

^ 10k rebate on the RS right now though...

Mancini 03-08-2019 09:33 AM

A decade of waiting and we get a rebadged BMW. Couldn’t be more put off.

Sadly true, but 2016-17 was $49, and every single ‘18 i know of that had sold went for about $52, NOT 60k. Just sayin

forcedot 03-08-2019 03:39 PM

for the same money, I dont see how a normal person would not get the faster and better looking corvette. On top of having a v8 power/sound with 100hp+

Badhobz 03-08-2019 05:42 PM

I rather get the BMW equivalent. At least it ain't a lying badge engineered product like the supra. Hell my wife is actually thinking about the z4 to replace her old 128i

Sadly, you can get a new 2018 one for $45,500.

I think most people on RS would rather get an m2 or m2 competition over the Supra

tofu1413 03-09-2019 08:52 AM

lol the M2 is more supra than the new supra is a supra.

twitchyzero 03-09-2019 09:12 AM

too many M and M-performance in vancouver though...but yes at least third pedal is offered

i also dont think it's fair for Model 3 fans to say the new Supra is hideous

This. Corvette is just such a good value.

This is not to mention that the LS engine is pretty reliable compared to BMW engines.

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. My opinion is that it's ugly (much like all Toyota and Lexus vehicles). You're allowed to not like the looks of the model 3 just like i'm allowed to not like the Supra.

Brand new 2018 Focus RS for $45,500 :accepted:

Where? I could have at least considered the RS before getting the R :considered:

every manufacturer will have discounts throughout the year and everyone who buys a focus RS or any car may get a different OTD price

i was only comparing what www.ford.ca (60k)/ www.toyota.ca (65k) has listed on starting price which excludes tax freight pdi etc.
