| Portable BBQ propane adapter
HELP!
I have a portable BBQ like (A)... it has an adapter that uses these tanks (B)... I was given a tank like (C) - can someone point me to the adapter that goes from B to C? I'm seeing so many options on amazon i have no idea which one is right.
Looking for the safest option!
A
B
C

There's various lengths, but something like this will connect your portable grill to a large tank (instead of the tiny disposable Colemans)
EDIT: Amazon link

IMHO, a gauge isn't a necessity. It's not hard to tell if a tank is nearing empty, especially after a grilling session with condensation showing how much is left.

I trust this would work as well? Less joints/connections. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07D7VMT21/...7-f188713467c0

Those in-line gauges suck. They only work based on pressure and the reading is horribly non-linear. You could be green one cook thinking you have a decent amount left, and the next you'll be into yellow/red and barely squeak by before running out.
I had one and got rid of it. I just keep a spare full tank on standby.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen a gauge on a propane tank

^They exist, mostly for the large permanent fixed tanks. They use a float system that sticks into the tank.

I have no idea if this exist but after some googling it seems there are natural gas bbq and propane bbqs.
I have Coleman propane bbq like picture A and I bought the same adapter from the second post hoping it would connect to my patio natural gas but it doesnt fit. Is there such a converter? Or do I need to buy a natural gas bbq for it to work?

If you want to know how much gas is in a tank get some hot water and pour it on the side if the tank. The part of the tank thathat is still cold has gas in it.

Different gas burns at different temperatures. The material on the stove might not be suited to handle a higher temp.

Like this, bottom left of sign.

Natural gas is WAY less energy dense than propane. If you were to try and hook up a BBQ set up for propane directly to NG without the conversion, it would probably barely even light.
The conversion kits usually come with bigger regulators and control valve jets to boost the gas flow.

Good to know, I just always assumed all bbqs can use propane or natural gas. I will just stick with propane cans for now and upgrade to natural gas bbq in future. Thanks all

What happened to the good old days where you picked up a propane tank to estimate how much propane was left in the tank? haha
Oh shit this thing is getting pretty light, better fill it before starting dinner.

^ oh hell no! I have 3 tanks in rotation. As soon as two are empty I’m going to exchange them while the third is connected. Running out of propane half way through cooking is the worst. Never again!

I remember when I had a propane powered van and I'd carry a couple of BBQ tanks and a cheater hose, on long trips.
If someone saw me refilling these days, they'd probably think I was crazy.
