These god damn spam calls... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.4639899 I get like 4 a day at the house and since it's a landline I can't block them. I got like a ton on my phone too but you can block them easily enough. Anyone know how to stop these assholes ? The recording is always from some so called bank and then when you hit 1 you get transfered to a live operator. I've been just hitting 1 and then waiting for the motherfucker to say ni Hao and then blast them with a airhorn |
I got a VoIp home phone so I can just login to the system to block number. I am out most of the day anyways so when they call no one pick up. |
i've been getting them like crazy on both my work and personal cells |
They have been clogging up my voicemail. Unfortunately if i block them on the phone, they are able to leave voicemail. |
They sure gearing up their scam like crazy this week. recevie at least 3 - 4 each day https://static.simpsonswiki.com/imag...uto-dialer.png |
man.. these spam calls are becoming relentless. Sometimes I get 3 back to back calls from different numbers all with the same garbage. Blocking the numbers seemingly does very little as they just spoof different numbers.. I hope they all go to hell. |
yea.... is there a way to block them on a cell line? |
It's never been this bad. Because tax season? |
i probably had like 20-30 numbers blocked and they keep calling |
Our store gets them multiple times a day offering things like a 150K loan. My cell phone now is starting to get them. it's fking ridiculous. Call blocking does not work because they are spoofing numbers. |
i get these chinese mf calls "welcome to hsbc/ royal bank.. blah blah, calling me,, i do block them, but now i fuck w/ them also. i press 1, get an agent and start pressing keys, u waste my time, ill waste urs. hopefully they think its fax and take me off the list. |
The worst part is that if you own a business, they can spoof your number too. So I've gotten angry calls from people thinking I called them, but I have no idea wtf happened. |
Jesus..so I literally open my phone to off-topic here and I’m just about to click this thread to complain about the FIVE calls I got 2 days ago, and as I’m moving my thumb to click a 1800 number pops up on my phone speaking Chinese.. what in the fuck Shit is getting baddddd |
In the US, they now offer Apps that block these calls but they also charge $5/mo to subscribe to them.. I know Verizon has this feature. Not sure if they will implement in Canada. |
Everyone I know constantly gets these ching chong Ling long spam calls. Can’t block them because the number is different every time |
I’ve read that if you block the phone number 000-000-0000, it’ll block all calls with no caller ID. I did that a few weeks ago and I think it’s working. I still get a ton of spam calls, but those all show a phone number. The weird thing is, sometimes I’ll answer the call and hang up right away, but the caller never calls me back. It’s almost like all they want to do is annoy you. |

Born and raised in Richmond, you tend to absorb the language  |
On my VOIP options I've blocked unknown and international callers. On my android phone, I blocked unknown callers. I've never received a spam call since. |
if the number isn't in my contact list, i don't pick up. i'm not important enough to get legit calls from strangers. |

Would love to find a solution to stop people who show up as "No Caller ID" from going through. |
my folks insist on keeping their landline in 2019 because it's bundled and has international minutes 99.5% of the calls are spam, dont know why they put up with it when they're savvy enough to use internet telephony been getting much less spam calls on mobile in the past 6 months for me (koodo and t-mobile)...i rarely put my phone number down when filling out forms |
I get those calls and txt messages saying my tax return is ready  |
