I just let it flow.. it's not 100% sealed that's for sure, but it still works really well.
Likewise, the AC unit i got last year came with 2 pieces to connect but neither connecting piece can be adjusted in length so whatever gap i had i just left it and sure maybe it wasn't then operating at 100% but even at 90% or heck even 50% would have been significantly better than any fan.

If you live in a newer condo building with jackass council members, best to look at bylaws before installing curtain and see if certain color would not be allowed
Those that have an AC unit with casement window, how do you handle sealing off the opening? Most window adapters for AC units are meant for sliding windows.
same
i just have a hose that goes to a huge sliding window
any tips or referrals on install to make it flush with the windows
Anyone use these before? I'm thinking of getting an A/C soon as well and am also cursed with casement windows.
I guess I will give it a try for the price they're asking for. It got postive reviews on amazon and an A on fakespot.
On the other hand, I did get a quote for an acrylic glass sheet for my pretty standard size condo window and they wanted close to $200 for it so this seems like a pretty inexpensive option.
