My stance: I am happy with my Mate 9, nothing is wrong with it, but at 2+ years old, it's starting to show its age a little bit. I plan to upgrade towards the end of this year, but it might happen sooner if the Google Apps go away in the 90-day "grace period". Looks like I will have to shop something else then, and pass the Mate 9 down to my grandparents in China since the Mate 9 will still be better than anything they use currently. I have also read some American hardware providers are getting affected. Probably true, not sure by how much though. Quote:
Like people mentioned, I doubt the Chinese market will get affected negatively. If anything, the more patriotic bunch will likely switch to Huawei phones as a mean to support them. The North American market is already pretty small so not much loss here. The major loss might come from Europe, which Huawei has some business there. Quote:
It's not about being spied on or not. It's about who spies on you... No one's hands are clean. And the truth about privacy is that as an individual, no one gives a shit about you. What they care about is a trend from many individuals. Just don't post shit you don't want others to see on social media. It's really that simple. https://askleo.com/privacy-what-privacy/ |

They had to deal with no play store for almost the entirety of android’s existence. All that means is there is all kind of third party store with bootleg apps for the android. It’s a war full of losers and no winners |
