Notice And Order: Not Signed

Got a bogus NAO, which I want to dispute but cannot because there is actually no dispute process like for a normal ticket. I have contacted ICBC and the VCSE.

The constable who issued this NAO to me wasn't professional or competent enough to sign it, print his name on it, or even enter his badge. I know that any traffic ticket without this information becomes invalid upon dispute, but I can't actually dispute an NAO.

Is a lawsuit my only recourse?

The VI thread be a good place for this. We know there's no dispute process. You can file a complaint to the Police Commissioner board. Resources are in the VI thread.

I'm not sure if this is entirely true.

The offence act allows for the officer to amend any ticket prior to trial. So at that time the missing information would be filled out and the traffic ticket would remain valid.

I'm not saying the officer isn't incompetent for not filling those in, but I dont think in general that a 100% valid reason to cancel a ticket.

Not having it signed isn't enough grounds for it to be invalid. While you cannot dispute it, you can contact the issuing police agency and see if they'll cancel it. I've done it before and was successful but your mileage may vary so you might not have the same outcome as I did.

With that being it said, make sure your vehicle is 100% stock before you try to have it cancelled if you wanna do yourself any favors.
