Haters will be haters - regardless if they're white, brown, yellow, or purple.

Some dirtbag wrote on the hood of my 911 in my parkade.

there's still 80s GMC in service as a tow truck in vancouver?

Stereotype just paint Asian as money launderers these days. If you drive a nice car and young Asian, automatic assumption it's dirty money used to purchase your toys. For all we know, he could be a banker, stock investor, business owner raking in good dough. When you are young, people assume aren't you too young to be making all that kinda money. There's enough shit going on in a given day for each one of us, don't even get why these kinds of assholes got the time to criticize others. It's like we just can't have nice things these days.

Badhobz 07-04-2019 10:14 PM

To be honest the price of an exotic car is nothing compared to our crazy real estate prices. 200k will get you a lightly used 458. 200k won't even get a shitty condo in Maple ridge. It's not thatttttt expensive compared to everything else. I'm certain a lot of the gvrd population could probably afford one they just choose not to spend that money on depreciating assets.

You wanna really see big money. Look for a Patek Philippe owner. 65k - 200k on average for a fucking wrist watch that 90% of the people don't even know is utterly baller.

unit 07-05-2019 08:51 AM

more like 99.9% of people don't know or care what a patek is. if you're ever seeking validation by owning expensive watches, it's a terrible place to try to do that. no girls or friends worth having will care about your expensive details.

Harassing someone is stupid, but stereotyping someone because of their job isn't different from stereotyping someone because of their race. Either way you're making completely unfounded assumptions about someone.

unit 07-05-2019 09:03 AM

not trying to say that stereotyping is good, but stereotypes already exist that we're all aware of. taking action based on those stereotypes is worse than being aware that they exist.

You're absolutely right! They aren't different. Did you copy paste to make that statement? :troll:

If he rolled up beside me, yelling, " Y'all Asian niggaz are eating up all the cotdamn chicken!!! " I'd be licking my fingers and telling him how delicious it is.

It's not an attack lol. Minor annoyance, at most. Tbh if I was driving an exotic and someone said that to me, I'd LMAO.

he didn't say anything remotely humorous though... he harassed the guy for being rich and chinese. it doesn't make it less racist if you're not personally offended by it, he tried to piss the guy off by making racist stereotypes, that was his intent.

Brah, you can pick up a 458 with 50,000 km for $200k if you're lucky. Slightly used 458's are hovering around $255k+ and going up. The 458 is actually a good long term investment.

That's my whole point. Exotic cars especially in bright colors are just a look at me look at me status symbols of the newly rich. Truely rich badasses wear a 100k watch that nobody even knows about.

Yah I know. I was thinking about picking up that white 458 I posted in the Craigslist thread. 30k on the dial and can probably get it for 190k

I would probably stay away from the white one which has been floating around auctions for the past year. Like the saying goes...if it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

i was thinking how i would react in this 'racial attack' video if i were in this position

probably just pull on the corner of my eyes to see if they get more triggered

i'd would only do this in Canada though, probably get shot up in the USA

doesn't bother me people want fun colours on their toys

but surprised i haven't seen an instagram flex post with a timex and a reliant robin in the same shot

MG1 07-05-2019 12:55 PM

If it ever happened to me, I would...............wait.......... it'll never happen. I wouldn't be able to afford such a car........... or actually want one, if I could.

If I did, however, I'd be like, "Buddy, something wrong with your neck? It's red. Oh right, NVM. While you're at it, give your head a shake really, really hard. Hear anything? Yeah, nothing inside, god bless."

Or, I would sing the "Ching Chong, Ling Long, Ting Tong," song. Yes, I composed my own version of that song. Not trying to be too racist, but that truck driver is such a stereotypical white dude, gulolol. I was going to say, truck needs a VI, but the truck is in surprisingly good looking condition.

I was thinking...... back in my day, we all had great racist jokes. It was all in fun and it eased tensions and shit. Forced you to come up with even better jokes, as come backs. You got respect for coming up with 'em. Now you get lambasted for looking at a visible minority person the wrong way. I was at a gay wedding and let me tell ya, people got up and told the most amazing gay jokes I have ever heard. People were falling out of their chairs, laughing. All in fun and no gay person was hurt in the making.......

unit 07-05-2019 01:12 PM

^even back in the day, you wouldnt make casual racist jokes to someone you don't know.. you made racist jokes about your brown friend and he made racist asian jokes back... there was a mutual understanding there.

and of course at a gay wedding nobody is gonna get offended, they're just making fun of themselves after all, and they're amongst nothing but their own friends.

Cancer warning:
Spoiler!

To give even more relevance, her diss track is about RiceGum, an asian youtuber who flaunts his money and exotic cars.

Pricing has been coming down though. If you avg 1k kms per year, yes still holds value well. But anything over 20k kms, the price drops off dramatically. I was offered a 2012 458, Daytona seats, 12k Kms for $235k....all luxury cars are dropping fast....McLaren depreciation is scary....

Pricing on the 458 is spec dependant, clean (which doesn't mean clean carfax) and mileage. If you can find a clean low millage car I would buy it because it'll be a good buy long term.

The biggest bubble bursting right now is the 991.2 GT cars. The used market is getting flooded and no one is buying. A good lesson on why you never pay ADM for a non-limited car.

Derp, too much rephrasing what I wrote and not enough proofreading. Edited the original post.

will068 07-05-2019 07:28 PM

"All that money you stole from China eh?"

Nothing racist about that.

However, haters gonna hate. Financial success brings the haters out.

This is more prejudice against the wealthy. If you're the wealthy guy, man it up and move along.
