What book(s) are you reading and why?

no e-readers, no audiobooks....

lemme see what revsceners read as in hard copy books.

POST THEM UP! and explain why the book is of interest to you.

-finished reading Dan Lok's book: F U Money.

An interesting book. Is the information valuable in terms of helping someone make more money? That is up for you to decide.

Why am I reading this book? I want to learn how to make "F U Money".

Pol pot: history of a nightmare
-Philip Short

I guess i picked this up since the Khmer rouge takeover and its lead up didn't get as much publicity as the Vietnam war. Though they were deeply intertwined. Only about 100 pages in. Starting to get interesting. Early fifties. French are just ceding power to king sihanouk.

Rediscover Catholicism: a spiritual guide to living with passion and purpose
-Matthew Kelly

I'd expressed interest in Catholicism and Christianity some time back, so my cousin gave me this book. Some valuable content for sure

Im reading the saxon stories. Currently on The Pale Horseman.

The reason I'm reading is that I really enjoy the TV show. After reading the books, the show makes a lot more sense, there was a lot of parts that were just glazed over in the show and now its a lot more understandable. I'm rewatching the show at the same time as well.

Currently reading the Shadow Hunter series. I enjoyed it on Netflix and the wife had the books so figured I would read them. So far so good. Lots more details and info in the books.

Berz out.

I'm a sucker for business books. It helps I'm in a book club so it forces you to read.
Didn't know there was a thread; so this is what I've read in the past year.

1) What are you trusting God for. easy 200 pages. Written by a local author.

2) Boundaries for Leaders. Great book to say no so you can be focused.

3) Leaders eat last. Simon Sinek
FYI, this book SUCKEDDDD balls. He's great on FB / short youtube clip, but he talks about chemistry, how kids / young professionals are into their phones... etc... it was not as fun / interesting to read as above.

4) Radical Candor by Kim Scott
awesome book; how to be a great leader, what Google + Apple are doing... really enjoying this book right now.

Non business book i just finished.

chick flick book, but super fun read; talks about how a counselor going to another counselor for help. SUPER easy chill read.

She also wrote the previous best seller below. How girls are in their late 30s/early 40s, why are they still single and what they need to do to get married. Super in your face, how not to be a princess and wake up type book. Fun read.

Came across Brene Brown's TED talk on the "Power of Vulnerability".
Liked the message so I picked up one of her books.
