Need a new Formula 1 Podcast?

Need a new Formula 1 Podcast?

I'm guessing no but a friend and I have been learning the craft of Podcasting since the beginning of this F1 season. I can't express how much work it has actually been to deliver something resembling coherence on a timely basis....

Our Podcast is called Flash F1 and it's a Formula 1 geared towards new listeners and a North American audience.... it's not super technical and we tend to follow broader narratives....

We aren't remotely satisfied with the quality of our conversation at this stage but are confident that we can continue to improve over time. It's embarrassing to listen to our first few episodes compared to what we are producing at this stage!

We have built a great relationship with Tim Hauraney of TSN, have interviewed Nicholas Latifi and have at least four exiting interviews lined up for the last few months of the season to help us go out with a bang!

Perhaps the biggest challenge that we've faced this year is that our subscriber base and downloads grew very quickly, which has put a lot of pressure on us to improve our quality. We had really planned to treat this season as a learning session but have been holding on for dear life... meaning we haven't been able to invest any time in our social media efforts. Anyways..... After twenty episodes I finally got brave enough to post about it here.

Would love if we can could get some feedback (and subscribers and reviews!)... :-)

We are available on all major Podcast platforms (Spotify, Apple, Google, etc.).

In my opinion, your intro clip "You are listening to the Flash F1 podcast with ..." is a very strange choice of voices - I cannot make out what she is saying after "with" even after 2 or 3 tries. Given that you guys are speaking English, it just seems odd to choose a very heavily accented person to record this. It also seems a little unnecessary to just loop the music over and over with some engine clips for 30 seconds - it just wastes time and doesn't add anything.

Best of luck, you are entering into a busy space, but I like your vibe between the two of you.
