The kid is gonna get bullied in school just because of his mom wrongdoing. Kids/parents will recognize this parent on the news/social media and will start pointing fingers at the kids mom for being racist and inconsiderate. Gonna have some tough times growing up... |

Wonder why she thought they were 'shit talking her' Paranoia? |

lol youtube comments are either white people saying learn to speak English or Asians saying she should be in jail. Fucking society is unraveling. Also "when she's identified she will come out and apologize and blame it on her depression" - lol |

Shit parents = shit kids, unhappy with themselves because they grow up in a shit enviroment. thats why bullying will never not be a thing, not because bad kids, but because parents like this |
Poor kid. |
Her life is over. Internet / Media > Her. GG. |
I'm just waiting for her to be identified and then her company will fire her and then shit gets way out of hand when she goes into depression. Cant wait! |
Rude? Pot, kettle. Anyone with experience dealing with the public knows this is just a reality. Thankfully, people now don’t always get away with it, as a result of a video camera in every pocket, and social media. Unfortunately, the response to that can ruin lives in a way that is disproportionate to the incident. |
i wonder if she also flips out when she takes a taxi and the driver is speaking Punjabi to his operator |
It IS kind of rude to speak in another language when there are multiple people present though ... I try really hard to always speak whichever language is most inclusive or I feel everyone would feel most comfortable in. But it's great when you're out and you are talking haggling techniques FeelsGoodMan On the flip side, it's also really funny when I try to speak chinese to the FOBs but they insist on speaking in broken English instead. I commend them for trying/learning! |
Just a hunch, but I'd guess these employees would have felt much better about the situation had somebody with an ounce of courage stepped up at the moment, rather than "put her on blast" from the security and anonymity of their desktop. |
eruhhh i think those are guys are Filippino |
its a women being a cunt cause a man has a thick accent...whats the deal?. Racism?...did she say go back to their country?... |
I think some of you May be missing what's going on here, there was an incident that we don't see, and the white lady is now pissed off, and is complaining to the manager(?) She wants to speak to the store manager, and to call corporate, to lodge a complaint, while she's pissed, the employees start talking in Chinese in front of her (probably calling her a bitch /nut job) and so that ticks her off even more, so she calls em out Her fuck up is she goes racist by saying "this is Canada speak English" if she had phrased that differently, she could've gotten her point across, and ppl wouldn't have called her racist |

Seriously think school curriculums need to have a year where students work in customer service jobs. Then more people would understand both sides of the coin and society would be so much better. This shit gets me so worked up /rant |
I think this really boils down to consistency in customer service, and the decency to provide service to customers in a language that is mutually understood by all. While this is a personal opinion, I do not feel that it was the right for the two staff to speak in their native tongue (I didn't listen, so I don't know) which sparks further outrage and frustration with the customer (said racist woman.) The lady who called the two staffers out clearly overreacted, and I would like to believe she regrets what she said, and her actions were certainly uncalled for. A shitty situation for all. |
Have people tried learning another language as an adult? It was probably instinct for the cashier to speak in her native tongue to properly explain the situation to her coworker. Vancouver is super multicultural, people should expect that not everybody is going to be comfortable speaking English. |
