Same boat, jumped on the bandwagon a year after the first ones came out. An android user but didn't care for the functions I was losing. At the time I wanted true wireless option and there were none yet and it ended up being one of my fav electronic purchases in a long time. I'm not audio junky and the loudest was suitable for my needs. When people ask me about them the first thing I tell them is find a corded version of the apple earbuds and see if they fit your ears right and if they don't skip because it doesn't really matter how good they are but if they don't fit your ears properly it'll suck. I can bench and do anything at the gym without them falling out which was key.

For me, the Airpods Pro are the ONLY option because the rest of them have awful call mic quality.

I take a lot of calls when walking around (this is encouraged by work) or in noisy environments where I need to know that the other side can hear me.

Only good for 2 to 4 years until the battery starts losing its charge. Then you have to chuck them and buy another pair. But you will probably lose them first.

Had the Sony 3000XM3 (over-ears) and was very happy with them but got the Airpods Pro as a gift and they're just so much more convenient with similar sound quality.

I initially bought them thinking only about gym usage but the very nice bonus that has come from it is talking on the phone. I mean I like most mostly do IM but for the times I do need it it has been awesome to use hands free.

I personally wouldn't have purchased these, but I got the original Airpods from work for free. Gotta admit I really appreciate getting a set, they've been a blast to use. Super convenient easy to connect to multiple devices, and the fact that I can watch videos in bed without disrupting the GF is also a plus.

Mainly for me I like the fit of the cabled earphones Apple has. So going from the wired ones to the wireless with the same configuration was a great fit and one of my main stipulations. I'm not a fan of those silicone ear pieces, I've never found a set that comfortably sits in my ears. So i'm not sure how the Pro headphones will be for me.

If anyone has any suggestions on cheaper other branded Apple style headsets, i'm game to try out, or else I have to buy another set for the GF since she's now been stealing mine.

I hear the latest patch fixes the call quality issue, I only tried making a call with it once, and my friend couldn't hear me until I turned off noise cancelling, it was weird

Just walked by Telus at Metro (the one beside mens bathroom beside the food court) and they have a sign saying air pod pros back in stock.

I typically play music from my phone on loud so everyone at the gym can hear the latest beats im playing

I just want them because they seem like the best tool for the job. Water resistant, Smaller profile and active noise cancellation. Those Sony ones are too bulky and they aren’t water resistant.
