I’m not much for seafood so I’m not sure if you guys are super picky between shrimp/prawns etc. I threw this together last night with some vermicelli and it was delicious. Definitely take the hour and let the shrimp marinade, made a HUGE difference

South Cambie TnT had 4 tanks full yesterday around 7pm.
Most ppl lined up to get lobsters and fish though.
They had $8.99 for the dead ones in a tray, but YMMV
I picked up some rock crabs @ $6.99lb
Not sure if I want to share my hidden treasure with everyone ... but OK, you're like family. Super quiet, never a line, people are great. Bought 2 lbs and they threw in 1/2lb extra!
Westcoast Seafood on East Kent and Argyle. $18/lb. $13/lb for one day dead ones.
I find that TnT's prawns are horrible. I don't ever buy their groceries.
Check out Richmond Public Market
I keep telling people about Public Market, but honestly, if you're used to air con + nice things in life + nice people, snacks at one stop shop, people would never venture into Public market.
I go there all the time and easily say 20% off my grocery bill each time.

Any experience with the dead/one day dead ones? For boiling of course.

I'd eat them raw only if they are purchased from a few select places, and if they are still alive when I get them home.
Many people trust direct sales from the docks at Steveston / Granville Island, I've done them from Fresh Ideas Start Here. I would not trust T and T lol.
Whether you eat them asap or after a delay, you still have to take off their heads asap!
