We were awful, as usual, but Holtby had a pretty terrible game, both the first 2 goals were basically whiffs

Well, at least Canucks contained Tiffoli to just an assist ... and a 2 mins penalty.

I don't blame Holtby.. Look at all the 2v1s, 3v1s, 2v0's he has to deal with. No those aren't the only goals that go by, but it's on the D not him. Also the Perry goal was a deflection

Demko is better than Holtby at this point imo.
Problem is are we just gonna destroy Demko now that we have such weak goaltending?

As for the comparison, despite Demko’s playoff performance he still isn’t ready to play 60 as a true number one and be relied upon to steal a handful of games. Holtby is an excellent stop gap until that day comes.
Demko/Holtby were put in the top 5 of goalie tandems this season and if the team did a better job defensively, this would be a non-issue. https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/2077999
It’s still very early to be writing anyone off IMO. I’ll be a more critical judge of player performance during this messed up season around the 20 game mark, myself.

Well, from what little I've seen so far even last year Marky can't bail us out with these performances so far.
